DOWNTOWN3RD Downtown3rd is Las Vegas' newest Metropolitan center. The Third Street corridor is the main artery running through dt 3 between Ogden St and Stewart Avenue and provides both Las Vegas residents and tourists with the first authentic pedestrian district. The Downtown3rd area is anchored by the Downtown Grand Hotel and Casino which opened in November 2013. The hotel is just steps away from the world famous Fremont Street Experience and The Mob Museum, and adjacent to the Zappos headquarters with 1,600 employees. The dt 3 s retail heart will be built on the northernmost side of the Downtown3rd district with direct pedestrian access from the Mob Museum and is within a quarter of mile from US 95. The center is designed to be a place for people and integrates a plaza for gathering, lunchtime crowds, or special events and regular performances. The former bus depot will be transformed into an exciting, economically prosperous retail experience and revitalized civic core of Downtown Las Vegas. THE DESTINATION
