Page 2 WSLETTER TITLE Message From The President Welcome to Reno, where it snows one minute, and the sun is shining the next. I am hoping for blue skies and the bloom of beautiful cars out and about involved in our many activities. Speaking of activities, a big thank you to all the members who were patient enough to spend the time making out a calendar for our 2019 RMCC activities. For those that were not in attendance, we are bringing back our progressive dinners this year. If you would like to be a host/hostess for one of our stops, please let us know. In May we have a cruise planned to Raley Field in Sacramento, CA, to meet up with our friends at the Golden Hills Mustang Club and root on our own Reno Aces against their Sacramento River Cats. Don t miss out on this one. We have special seating and parking for our Mustangs! I look forward to another fun year of cruising and car shows! Bonnie ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Membership This is a new year. Membership dues are payable now. Please get your money to Christina ASAP. As of the last meeting, we had 33 members and 52 cars. We know there s more of you out there. (and we re watching you..)

Page 3 WSLETTER TITLE In Memory of Reno Mustang Car Club Members By Bonnie Moffett Fred Connor While many of the newer members will not know who Fred is, I felt it important to include him in the list of our recently lost members. Fred was a long-time member of the Reno Mustang Car club from the mid 1990 s until 2011. He and his wife Peggy were very active members and attended most all of the RMCC activities and meetings. Fred owned a 1967 Mustang that he inherited from his Mother and won many trophies at RMCC and other car shows. Fred spent much time at the National Automobile Museum in Reno as a volunteer. When he sold his Mustang, around the age of 80, he was active with the VFW in Reno. Fred passed away November 3 rd, 2018 just days shy of his 90 th birthday. Fred s obituary asks that we Raise a glass of Bushmills and wish him a pleasant rest. Larry Roten Reno Mustang Car Club had the good fortune to have had Larry and his wife Sue as members. Larry always showed up with his bright red 1997 Mustang Cobra and a warm smile on his face. He and Sue attended many meetings and activities with their precious little pups. Larry was devoted to his family and the Mustang club. Dennis Romeo There are many things I could tell you about Dennis Romeo s time with RMCC; his life s journey and his personality. But that would take up the entire newsletter and then some. Dennis and Linda received their 20-year service pins at the RMCC 2018 Christmas party. The photo above tells the most important things about Dennis. In a nutshell, he was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather and Best Friend. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Page 8 Coffee Clutch Photos by Larry Pierotti This gathering proves that our Mustangs are meant to be driven, despite the season. It was rather chilly this day, but that didn t keep the Reno Mustang Car Club at home. Keep your eyes open for the next Coffee Clutch. I picked up a hitch-hiker the other day, seemed like a nice guy. After a few miles he asked me if I wasn't afraid that he might be a serial killer? I told him the odds of two serial killers being in the same car was extremely unlikely.

Page 9 Upcoming Activities At the last meeting, the club discussed numerous activities for the upcoming year. The following list contains many of the ideas discussed. Some them have hard dates, while others are still tentative. Many of the tentative dates need someone to coordinate them. Many only require a head count and a call to the host to let them know we re coming. Please step up for the tentative activities and mark your calendar for the others. We are not limited to only these activities. We will add others as the year progresses. Keep in touch and don t miss anything. Set Activities Feb. 16, Saturday Wigwam Restaurant, Fernley, NV. (See Event Calendar on Page 1 for details) March 14, Thursday National Automobile Museum, Second Thursday Talk. Time to be determined. Free to all RMCC members (be sure your dues are paid up). Followed by dinner at Bertha Miranda s, across the street from the museum. April 17, Wednesday Mustang s Birthday Cruise. Details to be determined, but it will be a cruise to Alturas and Likely. May 5, Sunday Cruise to Raley s Field in Sacramento. Meet with the Golden Hills Mustang Club and attend the baseball game between the Reno Aces and the Sacramento River Cats. There will be special parking for Mustangs and special seating for us. Price, $28.00 each, including parking. May 18, Saturday 35 th Annual Biggest Little Car Show, Suisun Waterfront, Sacramento. Hosted by the Golden Hills Mustang Club. 9:00am to 3:00pm, registration at 7:00am. June 1, Saturday Rockin Street Hop car show. Tamarack Junction. Details to be determined. Tentative Activities Progressive Dinner Sept 21 JT Basque dinner April 6 Fernley Pool July 13 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ I m beginning to think I will never be old enough to know better.
