Located within the CareFlight HEMS Academy, the Thales CareFlight Simulation Centre features the Thales Reality H AW139 Level D Full Flight Simulator. The Simulation Centre is housed in a brandnew, purpose built facility located within the Brisbane International Airport Precinct and provides a convenient and effective solution for high-performance AW139 aircrew training. The Thales CareFlight Simulation Centre is a one-stop-shop for complex training needs for all AW139 aircrew.

CareFlight Group holds a major contract supplying doctors to Queensland Health for emergency retrievals and hospital transfers, as well as consultants to the Queensland Coordination Centre (QCC), which coordinates all emergency rescues across the State. As part of the project, CareFlight has operated three high-specification AME aircraft within its fleet. Careflight established base support facilities throughout the contract service area and developed customised touring rosters for its pilots and aircrew. CareFlight s success and operational excellence in the role has seen the development of a world class AME service operating to OGP standard.
