PLEASE CARPOOL TO CAMP. ONCE ASSEMBLED, PATROL LEADERS WILL SIGN IN AT DYEA, HERE YOU WILL RECEIVE A MAP, YOUR PATROL ITINERARY, AND ASSIGNED A STARTING TIME. THE FIRST WAVE WILL START AT 8 AM. TOWNS MUST BE OPEN AND OPERATIONAL BY 8 AM. REGISTRATION COST IS $8.00 PER SCOUT, AND $5.00 PER ADULT SCOUTER, AND MUST BE DONE ONLINE. $13.00 PER SCOUT AND $10.00 PER ADULT AFTER JANUARY 22 YOUR SLED AND YOUR SCOUTS WILL BE INSPECTED BEFORE BEING SENT OUT ON THE TRAIL. SCOUTS MUST DRESS FOR THE WEATHER UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL ANY SCOUT BE ALLOWED ON THE COURSE WEARING SNEAKERS. APPROPRIATE WINTER GEAR MUST BE WORN, INCLUDING BOOTS, HATS AND GLOVES/MITTENS. IN THE EVENT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH SNOW COVER TO RUN SLEDS PATROLS MAY BACKPACK THIER EQUIPMENT AND GEAR. YOU WILL VISIT THE TOWNS IN THE ORDER THEY ARE NUMBERED ON YOUR ITINERARY. RECEIVEING 10 BONUS POINTS FOR GOING TO THE CORRECT FIRST TOWN, OR DEDUCTED 10 POINTS FOR STARTING AT THE WRONG TOWN. THIS IS A TIMED EVENT, BUT TIME HAS LITTLE INFLUENCE ON THE SCORING, IT WILL BE USED AS A TIE BREAKER, YOUR PRIMARY CONCERN SHOULD BE THE QUALITY OF YOUR WORK. YOUR TIME STARTS WHEN YOU LEAVE THE STARTING LINE AT FINNEGANS POINT,(PINE GROVE) AND ENDS AT THE FINISH LINE, DYEA (49ers.CABIN). CABIN) TOWN RULES AND PREPERATION EACH TOWN WILL HAVE 30 MINUTES PER ROTATION FOR THE SLED TEAMS TO COMPLETE YOUR ACTIVITY FROM INSTRUCTION THROUGH COMPLETION. DISCOURAGE THEM FROM RUSHING, DEMAND QUALITY WORK. PLEASE PROVIDE ENOUGH EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES TO OUTFIT FOUR PATROLS AT A TIME. PLAN A SAFE, ENGAGING ACTIVITY AND CHALLENGE THEM.
