Current Amount (for B): New Amount (for A and B): $ 3,300.00 Rationale for new fee or for the adjustment of an existing fee: The field trip to the Mediterranean is taught as a course in Classics: CLAS 348 Greek and Roman Topography. The largest section of the course is taught via site visits and exposure to topographical and archaeological field research at selected sites. Please see the attached itinerary for details. The costs for participation in these teaching activities overseas include airfare and ground transportation, hotels, and entrance fees to sites. The fee covers all of these expenses. It does NOT include regular McGiIIluition fee for the three credit course. 2

Additional Information Comments: The travel agency requests advance payment of deposits. Payment of a deposit ($ 1.000) is required by December. Note: After the booking of air tickets the fee can only be refunded in accordance to travel insurance guidelines. Refundable period extends until the day prior to departure. For further information on CLAS 348 and the trip. cf. www.mcgill.ca/classicsl summer-field-trips. Note: to maximize cost efficiency. 40 travellers are needed. The field trip is organized in conjunction with faculty from John Abbott College. CLAS 348 is capped at 25. 15 spots are reserved for Abbott students.
