Cheryl - Club Secretary Rick & Jodi - Founders P A G E 2 Founders Corner By Rick & Jodi You have all heard that Tom was going to resign from his position of Safety Officer at the end of the year. Unfortunately Tom has decided to leave us sooner, so as of this month he is no longer with IRUSA. He has told me that his leaving IRUSA has nothing to do with our club but he just does not want to be affiliated with any ridding groups any more. We want to wish Tom all the best in his adventures in life and we will miss him. Ride safe Tom and hopefully we ll see you on the road. Jodi and I have decided to wait and not fill the Safety Officer position as of right now. We think we will give it some time to work itself out for now and see how things go. I do want to acknowledge all of our Officers do a fantastic job and Jodi and I appreciate all the hard work they do for our Club and that IRUSA would not run as smoothly as it does without them! Thank You to all of our Officer!! Let s Congratulate Our Newest Member and Happy Birthday to All of Our Members in October! Birthdays Bea Debbie New Member Secretary s Report By Cheryl From the desk of the Secretary Rick discussed keeping our annual picnic at the new location permanently Dave did a brief safety talk as Tom was on vacation. His talk was on be aware of all vehicles around us. John G. brought up questions about when riding in staggered formation I N D E P E N D E N T N E W S The possibility of having a trike race next year The Christmas party was discussed and if not enough people sign up to attend we ll be moving it to another location. Suggestions welcome Jodi stated the available merchandise is the same. Dave Van Bibber was elected the groups second in charge and given a plaque The ride after the meeting was to a restaurant in Santa Clarita called Rattler s. Our upcoming overnighters are to: San Simeon, Palm Springs and Temecula. Steve won the gas card and Jodi won $47 in the 50/50 Ride Safe IRUSA

Steve Jodi Pam Congratulations Steve! Winner of the IRUSA gas card! Show up, get a ticket and fill your tank. It s always nice to win a few bucks to pay for lunch, $47 to be exact! It was awesome to have Mike and Pam on a ride. She held the lucky lunch ride ticket!! Which team has yet to send a player to the Hall Of Fame? 1) TX Rangers 2) KC Royals 3) LA Angels of Anaheim Ronald Reagan Library By Rick Today RayJ (Joe Ray) will be leading us to the Ronald Reagan Library in Simi Valley where they are having an exhibit of some cool stuff from the Titanic! Before our ride ends at the Ronald Reagan Library we will be stopping to have lunch at a fun restaurant called The Junkyard great food and it s always fun to see all the stuff they hang on the walls. Rattler s BBQ So get ready for a fun day and as always with great people. Ride Safe! Last Month s Rides Kennedy Meadows IRUSA s Picnic - Last month was our annual picnic (no ride) at a new location. We were getting tons of comments on how great the new location was. What a great time. With our water balloon toss, our infamous slow race and great BBQ food (thanks to our chef Kevin and his assistant Dawn) and tasty desserts this is one of our best events of the year where everyone comes together and has a great time! Our first ride went to Santa Carita to a delicious Restaurant called Rattlers BBQ. We were suppose to go to the Bear Pit but honestly I couldn t really plan a good ride to this restaurant from their location, so I knew a much better place so I went with it and it turned out better than I expected where most of our group had never been there before and they just loved it! We ll be going back there real soon. Our second ride led by our Group Leader, Dave went to Kennedy Meadows. This ride is one of my favorite rides taking the back roads through the mountains to Kernville. What a beautiful ride. This ride is not for beginners due to the length and difficulty of the route. Once we rode into town we had lunch at Ewing s over looking the Kern river on their patio. What a day!! Remember, Ride Hard but safe!
