Any changes before the start of the competition will be posted on the website. After the start of the competition, any programme changes will be announced by the Meet Director at the Team Leaders briefing and posted on the official notice board at headquarters. 4. Typical daily schedule On training and competition days: 9:30 - Pilots Briefing 10:00 - Transport to take off 10:00 - Wind dummy launch and start of flying 19:00 - End of flying The daily schedule is subject to change. Any changes to the schedule before the start of the competition will be posted on the website. After the start of the competition, changes will be announced by the Meet Director at the Team Leaders briefing and posted on the official notice board at headquarters.
5. Entry The maximum number of competitors at this competition is 65 The maximum number of pilots constituting a team is 3 total. Teams other than national teams may be organised. 6. Entry Fee The Entry fee will be: 35,00 Euro per pilot 35,00 Euro on day competition. Team leaders who are also pilots in the competition will pay only the pilot entry fee. The Entry fee includes: ID card & safety/contact information. Competitor and glider identification. Transport to take-off and retrieve for all competition days. Daily snack package, water. Competition souvenirs. Free access to all championship events and parties. Emergency Rescue and First Aid medical service. 7. Refund policy: In the event of a pilot withdrawing from the competition before 1/10/2017, a full refund will be offered (less 5 for administration costs). Cancellations received after this date will not be eligible for a refund. 8. Preregistration Preregistration must be made through: (http://www.jastreb.org/en/radoboj2017/applicationform) (starting from 13.08.2017 and finishing on 6.10.2017) 9. Registration Registration will be in accordance with Common Section 7-5 and Section 7C-2.4 On registration day, pilots must report to registration office to have their documents checked and to receive supplementary information. 10. Insurance The organisers require documentary proof in English of valid: Insurance covering public liability risk (no minimum value required). It must be presented to the organisers at registration.
Personal insurance including repatriation to home country. 11. Equipment All equipment must abide by Section 7C-8. All competition pilots are required to fly with: Contest ID Number (label) In accordance with Common Section 7-5. These will be provided by the organisation and must be attached to the leg. Radio Every pilot must fly with the radio VHF (2 meters) set on official frequency set by the Organizers. Official safety frequency Will be 137.975 mhz. 12. Safety Committee The Safety Committee will include 3 pilots elected at the first Pilots briefing. 13. Competition Site This event is a hill launch competition. Main location to be used is Malogorski take off and Radoboj landing area. Number of rounds According to Section 7C-5. The maximum number of rounds is 6. 15. Start List/Flying Order The starting order is determined by the computer randomly. Random selection is done so that the order from preregistration orders of notified pilots shuffled randomly by a computer. 16. Rest day There will be no rest day. 17. Wind speed The maximum permitted wind speed at take-off will be 7m/s. The maximum permitted wind speed, as measured at the target during the final 30 seconds of a competitor s flight, will be 6m/s. 18. Scoring Target radius is 5 metres. 19. Amateur video evidence The Organisers will provide video recording of competition landings.
In the case where amateur video evidence is available when an official complaint is made, the Meet Director and Chief Judge reserve the right to choose whether and when to view that video evidence. The decision will be made on a case to case basis. Further information regarding the policy on video evidence will be provided at the first pilot briefing. 20. Complaints and protests Complaints will be dealt with by the Chief Judge. Protests will be dealt with the Meet Director. The Protest Fee is 30 and will be returned if the protest is upheld. Team Leaders are encouraged to read Common Section 7-14 before making a complaint or a protest. 21. Emergency Procedures There will be paramedic and ambulance coverage, but not in landing place. They will be located at Krapina ER. The nearest first aid medical centre is in Krapina located 4km from the landing area. The nearest hospital is in Bračak near Zabok, located 20km away and is 20 mins from the competition site. 22. Exemption to the rule 1.1.8.1 Landing point If a pilot or his equipment touches the tree on the N side of the target, in their final glide, they will not be penalised and may continue their approach to the target or touches corn plants in the surroundings of target. 23.
