PREPARATIONS BEFORE (PARTICIPANTS) The travel documents In order to enter Croatia a passport or an identity card is necessary. Make sure your documents are valid. Substitute - documents are not accepted. Non-EU citizens are requested to consult the embassy or consulate of Croatia regarding their individual cases. Insurances It is advisable to take out a travel & health insurance. Money / Payments in Croatia You can pay for beverages and any extra services in euros or kunas (Croatian currency). Credit or EC cards will not be accepted on board (money can be withdrawn from eurocheque ATMs). The average consumption of guests on board is 7-10 a day (depending on what is consumed). Don't forget that the port charge must be paid on the spot ( 21,- per person). You will receive a receipt.
PREPARATIONS (PARTICIPANTS) Clothing and baggage Simple clothing, like shorts, shirts and bathing clothes, and casual shoes are advisable. For more chilly evenings we advise a pullover or a jacket. Due to limited space in the cabins you are advised to leave at home big suitcases. As for security, although there is always one crew member on board, refrain from taking along valuables. Don t forget to take towels with you. Journey medicine Please take headache and seasickness medicines with you. Since the cabin walls are very thin, please take earplugs with you (just in case!).
DAY OF ARRIVAL 9th May, 2015 The participants are expected at Rijeka harbour by 12.00 The cabine allocation is carried out by the program organiser. Before the voyage every participant receives the information on which boat she/he is accommodated. Due to organisational reasons any changes of accomodation to other boats is not possible. The representatives of I. D. Riva will help the participants to check-in on the boat. After embarkation the participants meet in the salon to get to know each others and meet the Captain and the crew. The representatives of I. D. Riva explain the rooles of conduct.
ACCOMMODATION The cabins are furnished and equipped in a simple manner usually with bunk beds and a small wardrobe or rack. There is enough room to sleep in and to store the travelling bag or kitbag. The cabins are different in their size because of the shape of the cabin Bedding is provided on board. Please, take your own towels with you. Since the crew does not enter your cabin during the voyage it is up to you to keep the cabin clean and tidy at your convenience.
CATERING The food is Mediterranean. Breakfasts include coffee or tea, white bread, butter and marmalade. Lunches and dinners are traditional and opulent consisting of fish or meat. By request, we can also offer vegetarian or diet meals, which should be stated at the time of booking. BEVERAGES The salon serves as a restaurant, a lounge and a bar( where drinks are sold). The cumulative accounts will be settled at the end of the journey. Taking beverages on board is not allowed. The prices of drinks on board are reasonable.
ELECTRICITY & WATER & ENVIRONMENT There is electricity and water on board but in limited amounts. All ships are equipped with 220 volt generators although they do not run all day (plugs like in Germany). The same applies to the air-conditioners which are featured on some ships. There is enough water in the water-tanks for several days but it should be spent carefully and rationally. In order to protect and preserve the environment throwing any waste into the sea or into the toilet is strictly forbidden. Please protect the environment! BEDTIME SCHEDULE Please ensure good night s rest after 11 p.m. Due to the insufficient acoustic insulation the passengers are kindly asked to respect each other s privacy.
