Licensing Sub Committee of Corporate Services Committee 11 March 2002 IRVINE, 11 March 2002 - At a meeting of the Licensing Sub Committee of Corporate Services Committee at 2.00 p.m. Present David Munn, Samuel Gooding, Robert Reilly, Jack Carson, Ian Clarkson, David Gallagher, John Moffat, David O'Neill and Robert Rae. In Attendance A Fraser, Principal Legal Officer; J Kerr, Principal Licensing and District Court Officer and M McCann, Administrative Assistant (Legal and Regulatory); and A Sobieraj, Corporate and Democratic Support Officer (Chief Executive's) Chair Councillor Munn in the Chair. 1. Exclusion of Public The Sub Committee resolved in terms of Section 50A(4) of the Local Government (Scotland) Act 1973, to exclude from the Meeting the press and the public for the following items of business on the grounds indicated in terms of Paragraphs 6, 13 and 14 of Part 1 of Schedule 7A of the Act. 2. Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982: Late Hours Catering Licences Submitted report by the Assistant Chief Executive (Legal and Regulatory) on the procedure to vary licensing conditions attached to licences presently in force. On 18 February 2002, the Sub Committee had agreed that a Hearing in respect of existing licences be held at this meeting and that a notice of intention to vary the present conditions be issued. All 49 existing licenceholders had been invited to attend the meeting but none were present. Six licenceholders had submitted apologies. The Sub Committee agreed to vary licensing conditions attached to licences presently in force in respect of licenceholders as indicated in the attached Appendix LS1. 3. Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982: Applications for Licences Submitted report by the Assistant Chief Executive (Legal and Regulatory) on (a) applications for the grant or renewal of licences; (b) reports in respect of licenceholders where the issue raised may require Hearings; and (c) individual licences where Hearings have been convened and which will require to be determined by the Sub Committee. The applicant present formally requested that consideration be continued until the next Sub Committee in order to clarify a number of partnership related issues.
