Network of meteorological stations in Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina 3 Automatic stations 8 Climatological stations 12 Main meteorological station 11 Agrometeorological stations 520 rainfall stations with Helmann type rain gauges (before 1990) 2013 0 AGROMETEOROLOGICAL DATA from FHMI Most of the agrometeorological data are collected from 11 main meteorological stations (all except Bjelašnica) These data (with all other) are in the CLIDATA system The clidata system operation usage starts in December 2005. The system is installed on MS Windows Server 2003. Currently the system is installed on the Oracle Database release 10g. Phenological data collected before the war are in yearbooks. We have a plan to import phenological data to CLIDATA in the near future. Also, we are a member of PEP 725 project and phenological data from 5 stations in Federation are included in the PEP ( Pan European Phenology project) database. 2

One of the products is Standardized precipitation index (SPI) (not presented on WEB) Primary activities The establishment of three International phenological gardens, Mostar, Sarajevo and Ivan Sedlo. (supported by GEF and UNDP BiH). Project European IPG Network is coordinated by Humboldt University from Berlin. The IPG Ivan Sedlo was founded in 1958 on the mountain of the same name (970 m), which is located on the boundary between two different climatic areas (Continental and Mediterranean). During the war, the garden was totally destroyed. This spring IPG Ivan Sedlo has been re-astablished. Beside this we established a new IPG in Sarajevo, (continental area) and have plans to establish IPG in Mostar, (mediteranean area) this autumn. 7
