and on the sole responsibility of the competitors. It is mandatory to use helmets in the cycling and paragliding parts. According to the new ITU rules it is not allowed to use a bicycle with additional controls (aero bars); only bicycles with standard steering are permitted. Flying is allowed only with paragliders approved by EN and LTF (up to EN D and LTF 2-3). The paragliders must be flown within the prescribed load, the weight of the pilot and the equipment will be checked just before the start of the hand-offs. The equipment must be technically faultless (certified); any change of the trim will be punished with disqualification! Paragliders and harnesses must be registered by 15/9/2017. If the registration of equipment is not submitted in time and then confirmed, it will not be allowed to be used for the competition. The paragliding harness must be certified. The reserve parachute must be flawless and installed so that it can always be used. The registration of the equipment must be sent by e-mail to info@kranjska-gora.eu no later than by 15/9/2017. The registration should include: the name of team, equipment manufacturer, parachute name, parachute size, name and harness manufacturer. The organizer reserves the right to change the call to competition. Health care and health insurance Each competitor competes on his or her sole responsibility; the organizer is not responsible for any damage caused to materials or people. The organizer recommends that the participants arrange for their own accident insurance. A member of the Mountain Rescue Service team will be present at the Vitranc summit starting point. Upon the return downhill cycling from the Vršič pass to Kranjska Gora - the organizer does not guarantee medical treatment to the participants in the competition and therefore calls for a cautious ride on the return to the valley. Transportation of the equipment For the runners, transportation to the starting point at Tonka's Cottage on Vršič and transportation from Planica to Kranjska Gora will be organized. The paraglider pilots will have organised transport from Kranjska Gora to Planica. The cyclists will descend from Vršič to Kranjska Gora by themselves. For those who wish to bring equipment to Planica or to Tonka's Cottage on Vršič, transport will be organized from the Start to the place of hand-off of the baton. You will be able to deliver the equipment to the vehicle no later than 20 minutes before the start. The organizer is not responsible for any lost items and does not recommend the use of clothing

or items of higher value. The transport of the equipment and competitors to the starting points will take place at the same time. Road closure Road blocks will not be provided during the competition. Participants of the competition must comply with road traffic regulations. Announcement The announcement of the results will take place on the square in front of the church in Kranjska Gora, where the start and the finish of the competition will be. The winning team will receive an award in the amount of 1000 euros. There will be no refreshments along the route; therefore we recommend that all participants bring sufficient quantities of liquid according to their own needs. Refreshments will be available to the competitors at the start/finish of each part of the relay. We call upon the participants to respect the nature and to not litter! General provisions By registering the participant confirms that the information he or she entered in the application on the application flyer on the day of the event is true. The participant of the competition declares that he or she is healthy, fully ready for active participation, has been physically examined, and is able to complete the cycling ascent route. The entrant will follow all the organizer's instructions and participate at his or her sole responsibility. The participant confirms that he or she accepts the risks associated with participating in this event and will therefore not claim any damages from the organizer, nor will he or she file any action against the organizer for any possible damages incurred in connection with the participation in the event. The participant agrees that the event organizers may publish his or her information, photos, recordings and statements in the media, without requiring any reimbursement. The organizer will store the personal data of the participant in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act (Of. G. of the RS, no. 94/2007 of 16/10/2007). By signing, the participant allows the organizer to process his or her personal data in their collections and use it for the following purposes: statistical processing, segmentation, fulfilment of contractual obligations, sending of offers, advertising materials, magazines and invitations to the events of the organizer and their partners, as well as for telephone, written and electronic surveys. Personal data can be processed until the cancellation of the written consent. The participant is entitled to all the rights in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-NPB5).

The competition will be held in accordance with the content of this call; any changes regarding the event will be published on the website www.kranjska-gora.si in a timely manner. The unofficial results of the competition will be displayed after the competition in the event area. The official results will be published on the website www.kranjska-gora.si. An addition for the paraglider pilots: Wait for the mountain runner in the handover area - Planica 930 m altitude - after the hand delivery you can leave the handover area and head to the starting point at the top of Vitranc 1555 m altitude. During the handover and later on the run to Vitranc, the helmet, the paragliding harness, the parachute and the reserve parachute are compulsory equipment that the competitor carries. When the competitor arrives at Vitranc, he or she must secure him or herself in the harness in the preparation area, put on the helmet, and move to the start. (The parachute can be attached in the preparation area or at the start.) Starting with incomplete or wrong/uncertified equipment is not allowed (followed by disqualification). A starter will be present at the start, who will facilitate a smooth starting procedure with the help of personnel. Any assistance from third parties is prohibited and sanctioned by disqualification. After starting from Vitranc, the paraglider pilot will land in Kranjska Gora on the official landing site at the Kompas Hotel (decreasing altitude by spiral diving is strictly forbidden - disqualification). The direction of the landing will be determined and disrespecting it will be penalized by disqualification (minimum course corrections are allowed, but no more than 20 degrees to the left or right). If the competitor estimates that under the given conditions he or she will not be able to safely land at the official landing site, he or she can choose the alternative landing site, located 100 metres further east (in the direction towards Jesenice). The wind usually comes from east to west (East wind-valley wind). However, on the alternative landing site, the final indicator of the landing direction is a windbag. In either case the competitor must run through the advertising arc after landing with full equipment and continue along the marked path to the centre of Kranjska Gora, to the finish line of the competition. The competitor must cross the finish line with all the equipment and the helmet on the head. (Otherwise, disqualification follows.) It is always possible to abandon the start if the competitor estimates that the conditions for a safe flight performance are outside his or her knowledge and experience. The competitor and the team are not disqualified, and the time counted for the paraglider is the full time (average time + 30%), which is added to the times of the cyclist and runner.

The elimination of a competitor may also occur if he or she endangers another competitor or fails to comply with the prescribed landing direction. The white arrow shows the direction of the approach, but if a cross is drawn on the ground, the landing area is closed! CONDITION: Each competitor must be in the possession of a valid paragliding pilot license and a concluded insurance in the case of rescue and against a third party. Only helmets certified by EN966 (airsports), ASTM2040, or SNELL rs98 may be used. The validity of the documents will be checked at registration! WARNING: The flight start on Vitranc is done exclusively at your own discretion, abandoning the start is always possible! Please note that we are located in the Alpine environment, and therefore suitable shoes are also necessary! If there is no hand-off of the baton from the cyclist to the runner and the runner to the paraglider pilot within the time limit, a mass start from the hand-off point will happen at a certain time for the competitors whose hand-off has not yet taken place.
