He is always interested in helping out at any function that this chapter performs. He may have the most years of camping experience in this chapter. For many years, he has been able to cook and assist in preparation of a variety of menu items. The aturday evening meal of Lasagna was prepared by Bob. He is one of the first to start any day and often one of the last to close up the meeting room activities. Our Co-Hosts were Frankie and teve Zubor. They replaced the Walters. The bad weather that prevented the pril camp out did not prevent their desire to help host this month. teve was not feeling well, but he wanted to come and be a part of this camp out. That continued story is found on some following pages. Because of the remote location, Frankie prepared the Thursday night supper of roast beef sandwiches. he is now known for her good cooking as well as her happy outlook and ready smile. U

The puzzle was one that the Wilhours brought to this campout. U s we come together for supper, the puzzle is being worked upon. Were the pieces sorted by color? Once again we have Burnt Dogs and Hamburgers. The portable grills were used again to cook the meal.

rt Hammonds tries to slow down the table conversation to have a birthday party. Our guests, Caroline and rt Hammonds, are ready to cut and share her birthday cake. fter the celebration, udy starts to finish the puzzle. There are many pieces to be placed correctly. Caroline and expert puzzle solver, Tom Davis, finish the puzzle. rt records the event. aturday, D Bob and Barbara cook the sausages and are ready for the pancakes orders. Brenda joins Bob and Barbara with a big bowl of berries. The business meeting was held this morning. The passing of officer duties are recorded in the Presidents Box on page 6. Changes are found on the Officer List on this newsletters first page. 4 U 5

He does not have any arm, leg or body swelling. U The hospital ran extensive test that proved that there was no heart problem causing his symptoms. virus was thought to be the problem effecting his muscles stuctures. blood sample was sent to the CDC in tlanta. The CDC did not find a virus in the sample that was sent. His treatment was with various antibodies. The Zubors want to thank all those that helped teve when he needed their help. 6 U 5 TH PIDT BOX Y 5 Welcome members of X ambling ams Chapter (C-). The members that could attend the ay Camp Outing at the KO in Fort ccoy were treated to a very nice camp setting. any camp spaces were available both in and 5 amp services. The trip to the camp site from my perspective was interesting because we were going to meet for a small caravan at the Winn Dixie parking on U-7 outh of the Black Creek Bridge. o much for that Idea! The Zubors stopped and then continued on thinking it was not the place with Bob humaker passing by and stopping in Green cove prings. We finally got together at the Wal-art in Palatka. Oh, well, it was fun. Our Guests, rt and Caroline Hammonds, lead the pack via a short cut through the Ocala at l park that saved 5 miles. It was rough is some areas but we saved some miles. I would like to thank the Zubors and Bob humaker for Hosting this outing. The kitchen and recreation area was huge and the pool was great. Bob controlled much of the morning cooking and made sure the coffee was on early. The Zubors treated the club to a very special treat on Thursday for dinner. There were no restaurants close to the campground. The Zubors provided oast Beef sandwiches with trimmings for dinner. special thanks to Frankie for her thoughtfulness and untiring help. teve was there to supervise! aturday morning, after a sausage and pancake breakfast, - had a business meeting to discuss some general topics. couple of suggestions were recommended that the group can consider and vote on at the next general meeting. Laverne Toivonen has accepted the position of Treasurer. Ilene Brown transferred the financial information to her. Thank you, Laverne and thanks to Ilene for your service. For Consideration: Combine the Host and the Wagon aster duties. This would eliminate the wagon master from the election process. The Host would become the Wagon aster for each camp outing that they volunteered for. This is done by some of the other chapters. The Wagon aster for the month would be the host also. I.e. the Wagon aster for the next camp outing would do the duties of the host. This would include providing camp site details and travel maps/ directions. The next camp outing would be the Wagon aster for that outing. The Host/Wagon aster duties have been written down and reviewed with ames Walters and udy Wilhour. These will be topics for discussion and possible vote at the next general meeting. t the next general meeting, the chapter needs to start working on our plans for ustis. What are we doing to generate some money and plans for the Christmas of Past Theme. Kudos to Wilhours and the Vincents for coming to the aid for teve Zubor. He was not feeling well and slipped onto the floor of his V. He was unable to get up. Frankie called and they came and helped teve up. They eventually followed the Zubors to Palatka where teve was hospitalized for a few hours to get him stabilized. any others assisted the Zubors during this period. These kinds of altruistic actions are what make this chapter special. UT OT: When traveling with a group or alone there is great value in having a CB adio. ven a hand held unit makes it easy to communicate with the group. This also gives you access to road conditions and accidents ahead. Our chapter normally communicates on Channel. FIT LDY COT: any thanks go to udy Wilhour for again taking and reading meeting minutes while nn mos was out. nd thanks to all the chapter members that pitched in to make this a memorable camp outing.
