ITINERARY - WEDNESDAY 8:00-8:10 Arrive at Channing. Register on pre-allocated coach. 8:15 Leave Channing for the New Forest. 10:30 Arrive at drop off point in the New Forest. 11:00 Start 1st day of Bronze Expedition. 17:00 Arrive at campsite; set up tents; prepare dinner; and settle for the night.
ITINERARY - THURSDAY 7:00 Start preparing own breakfast. Take tents down and pack everything up. 9:30-10:00 Start 2nd day of Bronze Expedition. 17:00 Arrive at campsite and set up tents. 19:00 Catered bbq.
ITINERARY - FRIDAY 7:00 Pack up camping area. 8:30 Catered breakfast 9:00-11:00 Outdoor & adventurous activities 12:15 Catered packed lunch 13:00 Leave for Channing. 15:30 Arrive at Channing (dependent on traffic).
HIKING - WHAT TO EXPECT? All groups: Are accompanied by a teacher or instructor on day 1. Walk minimum 12 km a day. Follow planned route. Carry own gear. Cook own meals. Enjoy being outdoors!
WHAT TO PACK? 1. DOFE RUCKSACK > Duke of Edinburgh kit list > Essentials: Waterproof coat and trousers Hiking boots (over the ankle) and good socks Personal first aid kit 2. SMALL BAG Spare clothes and shoes for activities on Friday. > Packed in a clearly labelled plastic bag. > Stored for duration of Bronze expedition. Tent and cooking stove (provided)
WHAT TO PACK? Practical and suitable Not a fashion show > no jeans > no crop tops or vest tops > shorts: mid-thigh length Layers

ITINERARY - SATURDAY 8:20 Arrive at Channing + registration. 8:40 Coach from Channing to Cheddington train station. 11:00 Start assessed expedition. 17:00 Arrive at Green Park campsite.
ITINERARY - SUNDAY 7:00 Start day 2 of assessed expedition. From 12:30 Finish expedition at Wendover station. > Students will catch train home. (Wendover > Marylebone station) > Students to buy their own ticket. (bring small change)
RECORD BOOKS Complete information as you start / finish a section (service, skill, sport, expedition). Assessor s report > upon completing a section. Aim to complete the entire Bronze Award by December.
