About CIDC India: Coastal India Development Council (CIDC) is a society to develop the core strengths of the coastal districts of India, based on the available resources on our sea coasts. It has been noticed that from last 6 decades the basic issues of our coastal India have not been recognized and addressed properly for the economic growth of the country. CIDC is the society to research and address the basic issues of our coastal line in a well structured manner to help the real growth of the Indian economy. The key concentration is on the overall development and optimization of sea coastal resources for all the stake holders. CIDC is engaged in research and developmental activities regarding infrastructural developments, sea ports integration, effective warehousing, beach development boards, agricultural reforms, fishermen skill development program, power projects, effective vegetable distribution etc.

About the Project: The SPNHMD project is a research initiative to establish modern dharmshalas in every 50 Km on different national highways in our Indian coastline. As a pilot project, initially it will be executed in our coastal areas and once successfully implemented the same will be executed in entire India. Each modern dharmshala will be constructed on 500-1000 sq. yard of land on highways with the basic medical facilities, motel with 10 rooms, 1 restaurant, tourism facilitation centre, police booth and many more facilities to cater the basic needs of highway travellers as well as nearby villagers.

Skill Development Centre For villagers about technology awareness programs, knowledge about IT gadgets, seeds & crops knowledge etc. National Yoga Mission For yoga awareness and classes to needy persons. National Disaster Management Centre For spreading knowledge about to manage the situation at the time of natural disaster like earthquake, tsunami, flood, storm, epidemic disease etc. Women Welfare Centre For basic women justice and welfare. Police Booth For social safety (viii) Urban Tourism Facilitation Centre To facilitate railway reservation, airline reservation, local information centre, local tour booking, transport booking etc. (ix) (x) Crafts / Handicraft Emporium Place to purchase the local famous items. Banking Facility of SBI Automated Teller Machine (ATM)

Key Benefits: (i) Employment Generation Opportunity For our coastal highway of approx. 7500 Km, there will be approx. 150 dharmshalas with 30 staff each i.e. total employment generation approx. 4500 employees. (ii) (iii) (iv) (v) (vi) (vii) Medical First Aid facilities In case of highway accidents, heart attacks to any villager in nearby village, epidemic incidents etc. Knowledge & Information Sharing Technology awareness programs, skill developments, agriculture awareness (seeds & crops), yoga classes etc. Knowledge about Disaster Management Tourism Development The tourism facilitation centre will definitely develop the tourism opportunities by providing an easy assess of tourism / travel services booking platform in remote village areas. Social Safety Women welfare centre and police booth in each dharmshala will ensure women and social security as a whole. Local Awareness Information about local culture, festivals, maps, famous handicrafts, local authority departments etc. can be accessed easily. (viii) Easy access of money SBI ATM will facilitate money access for immediate requirements.
