Long Thanh International Airport, Dong Nai province: under preparing feasibility study report. Long Thanh Airport is scheduled to be constructed on an area of 5000 hectares (50 km2). Once the first phase is put into operation in 2025, the airport is expected to handle 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tonnes of cargo each year. 1. CAN GIO bridge: Can Gio bridge, L=3.4 km with 4 lanes, vertical clearance H=55 m, will replace Binh Khanh ferry, connecting Can Gio district with the central city and surrounding areas. From here, it forms a direct route to the coastal corridor area in south of Ho Chi Minh City.
2. CAT LAI bridge: Construction Investment project for bridge to replace Cat Lai ferry, connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Dong Nai province by the PPP form. Form of investment: In the form of public-private partnerships (by BOT &/or BT contract); Investment & construction of Cat Lai Bridge to replace the existing Cat Lai ferry. Scale: 6 lanes. Length of bridge and bridge about 4.5 km, bridge section: 3.4 km.
2. CAT LAI bridge: Alignment: The first point connects to the My Thuy interchange, then runs along Nguyen Thi Dinh St., to the beginning of Intercity Road 21, turns right across the Dong Nai River, towards Ly Thai To St. - Nhon Trach Dist., then turn left to connect with Ly Thai To St., the end point located 1.0 km far away from the existing ferry terminal. Total investment phase 1: Billion VND 7,200 (not including borrow interest)..
3. Adjustment of South West Dynamic Axial Line, Ho Chi Minh city. - Adjustment of South West Dynamic Axial Line going parallelly with National Highway 50, the first point connects with Pham Hung road, HCMC, the end point connects to existing NH.50 at Tan Kim intersection - Can Gioc Dist. - Long An province, the route length is about 9.4 km; - Scale: 6 lanes.
