This would be a great space for an onsite manager. The power supply has been updated, a new 200-amp breaker box for the cabin area, 100-amp service to the kitchen in the Lodge. There are separate breakers for the larger air conditioners that service the rooms. The popular Lake Mac is located 10 miles to the east of the Gander Inn and is host to early fishing tournaments and a very popular lake because of its sandy beaches. Ash Hollow State Park is 3 miles to the east of the Gander Inn and is rich in the history of the Oregon Trail. Located on Highway 26, it is a popular stopping place for people to learn about the early settlers. Highway 26 is the route to Mount Rushmore which also generates business. Hunting season starts October 1 st and runs through Feb. 7 th. The first season is bow, the next season is rifle, for trophy white tail deer. December 1 st starts goose season and that runs through Feb. 7 th. Garden County is rated as one of the best places to hunt in the U.S. Gander Inn guests come from as far away as south Florida and California.
