Program Daily Activities Explained Thursday 20th Dec: Today we will be getting creative with a gift making workshop. We will be baking delicious ginger bread cookies and making gorgeous beaded jewellery. You may choose to make them for self or give them to someone special. We will also be having lots of fun with water play. Make sure you bring a change of clothes you will get wet! What to bring & arrival time Change of clothes Friday 21st Dec: Today we will be going to Go Bananas at St Marys. We will be able to go down racing slides, play on jumping castles, ride tricycles and much more. We will be travelling by chartered bus to and from the venue. We will return to Funhouse by 4pm. Plenty of water IMP Packed morning tea & lunch Monday 7th Jan: Today we will be creating lots of messy crafts involving glitter. We will be making glitter hand & food prints, butterflies and enjoying some free creation time. We will also have fun getting active by playing tennis. If you are interested in cookies, you re in luck, today we will be baking lots of different delicious cookies. Tuesday 8th Jan: Today we will be learning how to cook yummy scones, getting our hands dirty making very own candle holders and putting our teamwork skills to the test while completing commando courses. Wednesday 9th Jan: We will be going to the cinemas at Castle Towers, walking to and from the cinemas. We will inform families of the movie title and time on Monday 7th of January since session times are only available a week prior. Children are not to bring pocket money day; instead children can bring a drink and a snack to bring along on this excursion. Thursday 10th Jan: Today we will be mixing up some delicious smoothies, decorating our very own hacky sacks and having a ball at Castle Hill Funhouse s Ball Game Carnival. The ball games won t just be captain ball and tunnel ball so be prepared for anything! Friday 11th Jan: Today is going to be MAGIC at Castle Hill Funhouse! The magician Mr Bamboozle will be coming to wow us with a magic show and then teach us all how to make some amazing balloon creations. You will even get the chance to show off own magic skills! Any magic tricks you would like to perform What can the children do each day? Each day at our centre is different. We offer various activities as listed on the program. In addition to this, we take into consideration children s needs and interests by observing the children and listening to their ideas. Many activities on our program are implemented and driven by children s ideas and sense of exploration. Learning through play, fun and positive interactions are most valued at our centre. Activities can evolve throughout the day, such as a story may turn into a theatre play and a Jenga game may become a photo shoot of great wooden creations. Each day involves a combination of indoor and outdoor activities where children build on new and existing friendships and explore new experiences. What to bring daily? Morning tea Lunch Drink bottle Breakfast now available until 8.30am No re-heating of food will be done at the centre. Do not send peanut products. enclosed shoes, hat, comfortable and sun safe clothing (no singlet) and wear Funhouse t-shirt when attending excursion days. Program Daily Activities Explained Monday 14th Jan: Today it s surfs up with the talented performers from the Music Bus who are going to perform some awesome summer tunes. You will also have the opportunity to play instruments, dance and win prizes! The Music Bus will be arriving at 1.30pm and they have asked us to dress beachy - think Hawaiian shirts, board shorts and leis. What to bring & arrival time Dress in best beachy clothes Tuesday 15th Jan: We are going to Fagan Park for a BBQ. While we are there we will have an amazing time riding our scooters, rollerblades/skates and skateboards around the park (don t forget safety helmet). We will also get to play on the equipment and visit the gardens. We will be travelling by charted bus to and from the park. We will return to Funhouse by 3pm. NO BIKES Packed morning tea Protective Gear Your wheels (No BIKE) Plenty of water Wednesday 16th Jan: Today we will be making some super slushies, creating some cool keyrings and playing super fun parachute games with all our friends. Thursday 17th Jan: We will be spending the day with lions and tigers and bears (oh my) at Taronga Zoo. All children will need to bring their own food and at least two bottle of water. We will be travelling by chartered bus to and from the venue. We will return to Funhouse by 3pm. Children may spend their pocket money in the souvenir shop (optional). Friday 18th Jan: we will be taking part in some amazing science experiments and activities. We will also be having lots of fun with water play, including a water slide. Make sure you bring a change of clothes/swimming gear you will get wet! Monday 21st Jan: Today we will be going to the Australian Maritime Museum in the city. We will sail the seven seas, meeting pirates and exploring ships. The children will also be involved in craft and hands on activities. We will be travelling by chartered bus to and from the venue. We will return to Funhouse by 3pm. Tuesday 22nd Jan:Today we are going to bake some mouth watering slices, create amazing sticky sand art and play games from around the world. We will be riding on the world s steepest railway, exploring a rainforest and looking at the 3 Sisters from a carriage high in the air. All children will need to bring their own food and drink. Plenty of water Packed morning tea & lunch Thursday 24th Jan: With our recycle craft, we will be able to create, create and create some more! Today will also be show time, a time where children can perform their talent (bring props, musical instrument, joke book). We will also have some fun playing Tug-of-war. Performance gear (optional) Friday 25th Jan: We are celebrating all things Australia. We will be making awesome Australian animal carry pouches, cooking delicious foods, face painting & tattoos, thong throwing and having a yummy BBQ lunch. It will be a lot of fun! Monday 28th Jan: CLOSED AUSTRALIA DAY PUBLIC HOLIDAY Change of clothes Tuesday 29th Jan: Today we wave goodbye to the holidays with our very own PJ party! Friday 21st Dec 2012 I give permission for to take my child/ren to Go Banana s, St Marys. The children will have the opportunity to play on the indoor playground while being closely supervised by staff. The children will be eating their morning tea and lunch at the venue. The children will travel by chartered bus to and from the venue. We will be arriving back to Funhouse around 4pm. Wednesday 9th of January 2013 I give permission for to take my child/ren to the cinema at Castle Towers. The children will walk to the venue, watch a movie and will walk back to the centre. Due to movie/time schedule being available only a week prior to this date, families will be informed via the notice board of the departure and returning time and the movie title. Tuesday 15th Jan 2013 I give permission for to take my child/ren to Fagan Park for a BBQ. The children may bring their own rollerblades, roller skates, scooters and skateboards to ride while they are at the park (NO BIKES). The children will ride their sport equipment, play on the fixed equipment and visit the gardens around the venue. The children will be travelling by a chartered bus to and from the venue and will be returning around 3pm. Thursday 17th Jan 2013 I give permission for to take my child/ren to Taronga Zoo, Mosman. Children will be eating their morning tea and lunch at the venue, watch different shows, visit the souvenir shop and will walk through the zoo. The children will travel by chartered bus to and from the venue. We will be arriving back at Funhouse by 3pm. Monday 21st Jan 2013 I give permission for to take my child/ren to the Australian Maritime Museum at Darling Harbour. The children will be eating their morning tea and lunch at the venue, will visit the museum, get involved in a craft activity at the museum. The children will be travelling by chartered bus to and from the venue. We will be arriving back at the centre by 3pm. Wednesday 23rd Jan 2013 I give permission for to take my child/ren to Scenic World in the Blue Mountains. Children will be eating their morning tea and lunch at the venue; the children take the scenic rail, sky rail and walk in the bush area. The children will travel by chartered bus to and from the venue. We will be arriving back at Funhouse by 4pm. IMPORTANT: CHANGES OF EXCURSION I give permission for my child/ren to attend an indoor playground such as Lollipop Playland in Castle Hill or Go Banana s in St-Mary s in the event of a change of excursion due to the weather or other constraints. I understand the children will be travelling in a private charter to and from the venue and the staff will provide the best care possible. PHOTOGRAPHY Please note :Photographs during the school holidays will be taken each day. These photos may be displayed at the centre, in our newsletter and on our website. If you do not wish for child s photo to be taken or used for these purposes please let us know by ticking the box below. I do not wish for my child/ren to be photographed at Castle Hill Funhouse.
