DeVona Serving the People of Minoa for over 13 years News from the Mayor U.S. Postage Paid Minoa, NY 13116 Permit No. 34 Editor William F. Brazill The will be published on a continuing basis. The Village of Minoa Board meets regularly on the 1 st and 3 rd Monday of each month at the Minoa Municipal Building @ 7:00pm Village Office 240 N. Main St. Mon.-Fri. 8:30am - 4:30pm 656-3100 Fax 656-0825 WEB SITE: www.villageofminoa.com @villageofminoa I am excited to serve as your Mayor. I look forward to continue the growth of our wonderful community. In our 103rd year as a village I am your 15 th mayor. It says a lot about the stability of the Village of Minoa. Mayor Donovan did a tremendous job expanding our village and gaining the respect all over the state of New York. As your new Mayor, I will do everything in my power to continue the success we have achieved and bring the best to our community. We have a fantastic diversified board that I look forward to working with and I am eager to start on any new challenges we might face in the future. I have appointed Greg Rinaldi to the open position as Trustee. Greg is a successful business owner of Superior Seal and Paving, he brings a new and unique perspective to our board. I have a new event, Pizza with the Mayor held at Trappers II on the last Wednesday of the month from 6:00pm 7:00pm. Have questions, concerns or just want to chat with me then join me for some pizza. I recognize that our residents are our greatest assets, and that people often feel more comfortable talking about issues that concern them in an informal setting. There won't be any speeches and there won't be an agenda. This will give the community the opportunity to sit down with me and for a few minutes express any concerns or ask any questions you might have. Constructive criticism is welcome and no reservations are required. Free pizza and soft drink will be provided, I hope to see you on June 29th from 6:00pm - 7:00 pm. I welcome your input and comments and encourage attendance at our Board meetings which are held on the first and third Monday of each month. I can be reached by email at wbrazill@villageofminoa.com Enjoy your summer and make sure to come to Lewis Park on Friday evenings to enjoy some live music and the Classic Car Show. Bill Brazill, Mayor

Stop by the last Wednesday of the month, to talk with Mayor Bill Brazill at 6:00 pm and enjoy a slice of pizza and some soft drinks. Community Notes During the summer months (when windows are open) please remember to be considerate to your neighbors about your pets barking excessively. When walking your pet please remember to pick up the waste and dispose of it The Village is looking for anyone that has information about the original sign Railroad Depot that was on 115 S. Central Ave. please contact the village office. A Word from the Department of Public Works Trash and yard waste and miscellaneous debris should be in compliance with the curbside collection policy. Just a reminder, trash and yard waste are better left in piles near the road instead of rows. Do not put yard waste in plastic or garbage bags and do not place in the roadway. Please do not bring outside construction and/or side job debris into the Village for pick up. Neighbors should call the Codes Enforcement Officer at (315) 656-3100 or the DPW at (315) 656-7574 to report any violators. Remember; do not place trash or debris curbside for pick-up until noon the day before your scheduled pick-up day! CAN I HAVE A FIRE PIT IN MY BACKYARD? The short answer is yes, BUT you must keep three things in mind: 1) Your fire pit must be in a safe location that is a minimum of 25 feet from a structure; 2) You cannot leave your fire pit unattended, until the fire is extinguished; and 3) The smoke emission and/or odor from your fire pit must not be offensive or objectionable especially when atmospheric conditions or local circumstances make such fires hazardous.
