Another riding season is coming to a close. This summer was HOT with events, rides and fun for all! Now that summer is behind us, we still have good times ahead with dealership events, such as, the LEHD Halloween Party and Clambake, which will probably be done next year by our HOG Chapter and then culminating with our annual Christmas Party! Still, for those of you who are like me, there is still some riding season left. With the cold weather approaching, be aware that other vehicles on the road may not be aware that you are riding your motorcycle. Also, with the trees bring about their fall foliage; the tree s leaves can be a hazard on a roadway. Be careful when approaching corners where trees have left their remnants. For those of you who have made their way to Lake Erie HD, you have notice the HOG cabinets are installed! Also, the flat screen television is showing HOG events of this year, the 105 th party in Milwaukee and photographs of past events via the new Blue Ray DVD player. Once this area has been completed, we can all be proud to be associated with our outstanding HOG Chapter and dealership! Now, on to some unfinished business. I am still looking for several key positions that are open in our HOG chapter. The positions of Webmaster, Head Road Captain, Historian and Volunteer Officers need to be filled. This will give you the chance to become instrumental in contributing your thoughts for future events planning. Also, you will become more visible representing your HOG chapter at different events, like the annual MDA Poker Run and Primary Officers Training. If anyone has an interest in one of these positions, give me a call or email and we can discuss the position further. In closing, I look forward to my first year as being your HOG Director and if there is anything that I can do to make your membership experience better, let me know! Thanks to all! Mike C.

Ride Safe Bob Adamich Membership Officer Activities - Charlotte Bledsoe What a wonderful year we have had riding and making new friends and growing closer to our old friends. October is my favorite time of year for two reasons: love the autumn colors, weather and Halloween, but it's special because David and I will celebrate 37 years together this year in October. Even though chilly weather is approaching, October can be one of the most boo-ti-ful times for riding. (Sorry, had to get that in there) Had a great time with those who had the opportunity to ride to the Marietta Sternwheel Festival on September 11th. There were about 13 bikes that make the trip. Although, rain hit on Saturday evening, everyone was safe and good fellowship was enjoyed. Several were able to go to the Hot Air Balloon Fest in Ravenna on the 18th & 19th which I'm told was enjoyable as well. Unfortunately, we cancelled the clambake and halloween party for the HOG Chapter which was scheduled for Saturday, October 9th. However, the dealership is having the annual Chili Cookoff on this date. If you can, make an attempt to support the cookoff and try some different recipes of chili. Can be a HOT experience. The ride/activity to Cuyahoga Valley Railroad was cancelled as a HOG event scheduled for Sunday, October 17th, but I would encourage anyone that has not visited the Cuyahoga Valley Metro Parks to try to do this whenever possible. It's truly gorgeous this time of year. The Lake Erie HD dealership is hosting a clambake and Halloween party on Friday, October 29th. Details are at the dealership and posted on the dealership web site. Can't miss with clams and costumes! The planning for the Christmas party is in full swing. The date is Saturday, December 4th from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. at the FOP Hall in Westlake. There will be NO CHARGE for LE HOG Chapter Members. A non-member, guest will cost $5.00. We will have a registration sheet at the Chapter meeting on the 28th of October. Deadline for registration will be at the November 18th chapter meeting. Donations for door prizes would be appreciated and will be recognized at the party. Expecting a good time to be had. How can you miss with the members we have! Have a witchin' good time ridin' before the snow starts a flyin!! Charlotte.
Volume 1 Issue 62 Page 3 Ringo Says - Ron Long HI Everyone, Well, riding season is all but done. We might get a few more good days to ride, but is looking pretty bleak. The good news is that they are having the state hog rally next year in Richfield.(Cuyahoga Valley) I have not found out any details yet, but as soon as I do, I will let you know. I do know that it will be on July14-16,2011. We have the Halloween Party and Clam Bake at Lake Erie on October 29. We also have some other events coming up, so check on he website for more details. The cabinets that we have been talking about for so long are finally up. I put a few things in it to make it look like we done something. We plan on doing a lot more in the near future. Ride as much as you can before that four letter work starts to fall. Ride safe and have fun. Ron "Ringo" Long A Funny Thing Happened At the Stern Wheeler Festival - Nick Halpin Did you ever notice those coiled cords on some of the Ultra Classics?? Well, if you find yourself in the position to be using the communication equipment while riding, remember to unplug your helmet as you get off the bike to gas up. After putting on a bit of fuel Sunday morning,. Ron was pulling away from the pump and Sandy was running behind helmet in hand calling Ron Ron. He stopping and she unplugged the helmet. Wish I had a camera. Later on Sunday I found out how great it is to have the Chapter members as friends. My bike had a flat at the gas station on 83 in Wooster. Sunday afternoon the closest dealer did not have available people to pick up the bike. Jim Augustine went home got his trailer and brought the bike home. MaryAnn offered to let me ride her bike to Jim s house so that I did not have to wait alone. MaryAnn rode with Jerry so I did not have to ride (on the back) which I would not have done. It was a great ride on route 60 from Marietta to Zanesville. The entire weekend was great. I am lucky to have such great friends. The bike is back now and looking with a new white wall tire. Thanks again to Jim and MaryAnn and remember Sandy, unplug that helmet when Ron is fueling up! Thank You volunteers!!!!! Thank you to the following volunteers who helped during the Coats For Kids event.
