August Cruise Located in beautiful and historic downtown Cairo, GA, The Cairo City Grill (124 South Broad Street, Cairo, GA 39828-2713) (229-377-7865) has Cairo s largest and healthiest salad bar. Open for lunch from 11 to 2, we need an early start for lunch. The Panhandle Ponies will meet at the former Kohl s parking lot (6785 Thomasville Road, Tallahassee FL 32312-3872) at 11:00am Saturday 25 for a departure at 11:15am. Record number of members 11 and guests 0. Treasurer s Report: Savings: $ 725.30 Checking: $ _571.81 Report on past shows and events 1. Report on Cruise to Roy s Restaurant, 24 June, Steinhatchee, FL: It was a great trip and the food was good. Announce upcoming shows and events. 1. Cruse-In at the Whataburger on Thomasville Road, 14 July, Tallahassee, FL 2. Cruise to the New Camp Gordon Johnston Museum, 21 July, Carrabelle, FL 3. Mustang Week, 3-9 September, Myrtle Beach, SC 4. 26 th Annual Emerald Coast Show, 8 September, Niceville, FL 5. 14 th Annual All Car Club Show & Shine 6 October, Tallahassee, FL 6. 35 th Annual Fall Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show, 3 November, Valdosta, GA Tech Talk: The 2008 and up Mustangs have at least a 100 amp alternator. A common problem is burning up batteries and self-destructing alternators. The cause is a bad ground somewhere in the system. At a minimum an additional ground should be run with heavy gauge wire to the engine and body. Show & Shine business The all car club show and shine will be at the Tallahassee Antique Car Museum near I-10 exit 209 and Mahan Drive on October 6 t. We will, as usual, collect stuffed animals for the Highway Patrol. Old business Please join the Panhandle Ponies as we cruise to Carrabelle, FL, to visit the New Camp Gordon Johnston Museum (1873 U.S. Highway 98 West, Carrabelle, Florida 32322). We will be meeting at the Shell station at the intersection of Capital Circle Southeast and Woodville Highway (4620 Woodville Highway, Tallahassee, FL 32305). We will assemble at 9:00am Saturday 21 July 2018 for a departure about 9:15. New business: The August cruise will be on the 25 th and will be to the Cairo City Grill at 124 S. Broad Street in Cairo, Georgia. A meet time will be announced next month for a cruise to this spot. http://www.cairocitygrill.com/ Winner of 50-50 None.. Record the number of Mustangs present 6.
