In February 2017, the Huntridge Pylon Sign became the first place winner for the Public Art Category for the 10th Annual Mayor s Urban Design Awards (MUDA). The sign, designed by Stephen Shortell and built by YESCO for Dapper Companies, won for its historic preservation, sustainability and livability in the MUDA, which was originally created in 2006 by Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman.
