New Jersey Catholic Conference 149 North Warren Street Trenton, New Jersey 08608 609-989-1120 The Nonpublic School Nursing Services Program received a $1 million increase in Governor Christie s proposed FY 14 Budget. However, this increase only brings the pupil amount for nursing services to $78.02, an increase of only $18.02 over the 22 years of the program s existence. Given the dramatic increase in health care costs this amount barely covers the cost of a nurse for the schools health services. Please help out by contacting the members of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee and Assembly Budget Committee by email, fax, and telephone and ask that they increase the budget for nonpublic school nursing services to account for the cost of living increases and we are asking for $90.00 per pupil. Attached is the contact information. Please make every effort to help out with increasing the nursing services. Also, Governor Christie s office contact information: 609-292-6000 or email address is www.state.nj.us/governor/contact Thank you and again every phone call, email, or letter helps our children.
