CASA MILÀ LA PEDRERA Visiting Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera, is entering the world of architect Antoni Gaudí. It is discovering first-hand how nature is the origin and inspiration of a building built between 1906 and 1912 and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESC in 1984. It is currently one of the most famous Modernista (Catalan Art Nouveau) buildings in the world, and it is visited every year by over one million people for its exceptional and unique importance. Casa Milà (La Pedrera) houses an important cultural centre of reference in the city of Barcelona for the range of activities it organizes and the different museum and educational spaces it offers. Knowledge and learning are key to influencing the construction of a rich and dynamic society. The educational offers are therefore based on global and immersive proposals that allow students to have unique experiences and at the same time to undergo training in a fun and suggestive way.
Activities Guided tour of the building A tour through the most representative spaces of this building, the work of brilliant architect Antoni Gaudí. It was built in the early 20th century and declared a World Heritage Site in 1984. It incorporated great innovations for the time and today continues to amaze visitors from all over the world. The tour includes a visit to the façades, interior courtyards, Modernista apartment, Gaudí Space and roof terrace. The explanation will be adapted to the educational level of each group. N E W Modernisme Contest workshop This contest will put the students knowledge of Modernisme (Catalan Art Nouveau) to the test. Aimed at students from 13 to 17 years old, it is organized into teams that will participate in different challenges on the social context, most representative works, characteristics and the life of the architects of this artistic and architectural movement. It s an activity that allows students to see La Pedrera in a different, educational and very fun way.

MÓN SANT BENET Món Sant Benet invites you to enjoy a different, innovative experience combining an intense trip through history with the monastery as a starting point and one of the most advanced culinary proposals centred around the Alícia Foundation, a reference worldwide. The Sant Benet complex seeks to provide stimulus for knowledge but also a hands-on and emotional experience for schools. The activities have been designed for students intense enjoyment of the experience of discovering new subjects and new horizons. Món Sant Benet offers teaching professionals a series of educational activities out of a conviction that the heritage and cultural assets of the monastery and the Alícia Foundation should be an educational tool and a recreational space for learning and appreciating history, art, the natural environment, cuisine and their relationship to scientific and technological advances.
Activities A Thousand Years of a Monastery s History tour We invite you to an immersion in the life of a medieval monastery where the voices, sounds and images of the past emerge from among the ancient walls making this visit a unique experience. A tour through the most emblematic spaces of the monastery (the church, the cloister, the cellar and the cells of the Montserrat gallery) allowing you to get inside the skin of the monastery s inhabitants and discover first-hand how they lived and what their daily life was like through a powerful museum installation. Mediterranean Cuisine workshop Speaking of the importance of good eating habits and the advantages of Mediterranean cuisine, we will see how products, processes and many other factors are key when cooking, and divided into work teams we will put our culinary skills into practice preparing recipes such as frit mallorquí (traditional Majorcan fry-up), a vegetable Parmentier or a dessert dating to medieval times, flaó (a cheese-filled pastry). MÓNNATURA DELTA DE L EBRE MónNatura Delta de l Ebre is a project opened in 2012 that offers you a tour through a wetland area combining fresh and salt water with exceptional fish and birds. It s an area for discovering the essence and traditional values of the delta through activities aimed at different educational levels. The centre, located very close to the La Tancada Lagoon and Els Alfacs Bay, seeks to raise awareness of the richness of the environment through environmental education activities aimed at raising awareness of nature and the conservation of traditional activities. MónNatura Delta de l Ebre offers teaching professionals an educational service to deepen their knowledge of the delta. The educational activities revolve around three themes: avifauna, salt and fish. For each topic there is a set of activities organized into educational levels. These activities complement the visit to the centre.
Activities What a Delta! guided tour This is a tour in which you can see the only recreation of the delta s saltworks that is open to the public, the Delta Space, where you will discover and experience the essence of the delta in the different seasons of the year; the 360º lookout offering spectacular views of the La Tancada lagoon that brings you closer to the fascinating world of birds and lets you observe flamingos up close; and the Spanish Toothcarp Territory where you will discover the habitat of this unique and endangered fish. In addition, you will learn about the different traditional and artisanal fishing gear of the delta and can learn how to use punts, a very old means of transport in the delta. A Bird Landscape activity The Ebro Delta is a unique place for discovering the birds typical of wetlands. This activity takes you on a walking tour along the L Encanyissada lagoon where you will enjoy the lacustrine ecosystems and the main birds that inhabit them.
Pedalling Through the Lagoon activity A bicycle outing around the La Tancada lagoon to discover the birds that live, nest and feed there. Along the way you can enjoy the beach ecosystems, the bay, the lagoon and the rice fields, and you will learn which flora and fauna adapt to each of these environments.
