Who can attend: All boys and girls entering grades 1-12 please see each camp for specific information. Campers do not need to be Camp Fire members. Hours: Day Camp program activities occur between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Extended care is offered at no additional cost, beginning at 6:45 a.m. and ending at 6:00 p.m. (depending on the camp). Payment Methods: Camp Fire accepts cash, check, and credit card (except American Express). Our programs also qualify for most flex spending accounts. Lunch and Snacks: Campers attending day camp must bring a sack lunch including a drink each day. Morning and afternoon snack will be provided. At Hantesa Day Camp and Equestrian Day Camp, lunch and a morning snack are provided; afternoon snack may be purchased at the canteen. Meals will be provided for those attending Resident Camp. Day Camp T-shirts: Each camper will receive one Camp Fire T-shirt at no cost. They are required to wear this shirt on all major field trips. Registration Deadline: Sessions are filled on a first come, first served basis. Registrations and payments are due at least three days prior to the session your camper is attending. Payment Information & Changing Weeks: The Camp Fire Day Camp weekly fees are listed on the following pages; you only pay for the weeks you register for! A $20 deposit for each day camp week or $100 for each overnight camp session is required with registration; Deposits are not refundable. The balance of the fee is due the Wednesday (or 3 business days) prior to the week attending. Fees may be paid with cash, a major credit card, or a check payable to Camp Fire. Any program adjustments made after 5:00pm three business days in advance will be assessed an administrative fee of $10. Program cancelations made after 5:00pm three business days in advance can not be refunded. If payment in full is not received three business days prior to the start date, the credit card on file will automatically be charged the full amount. Scholarships: A limited amount of campership funding is available on a first come, first served basis. Visit our website to download the form or contact the Camp Fire Service Center for more information. This form must be submitted to the Camp Fire office with the necessary documentation (found on the application), as well as the program registration. Campers will learn horse science, English riding, and barn maintenance. Each camper will be assigned a horse and will be instructed based on their riding experience. Beginners to advanced riders welcome! Riding will depend on day to day weather conditions. Staff reserve the right to remove a rider from the horse if either is in danger. Camp Hantesa provides trained horses and staff for all riding programs. **In order to participate, ALL campers are required to wear long pants, boots, and helmets.
