DIVING The crew of Quino el Guardian is here to help you in any way possible to make your visit to the southern Sea of Cortez an unforgettable experience. The Sea of Cortez, also known as the Gulf of California, is a strip of water separated from the Pacific Ocean by the Baja Peninsula. This isolation, on land and underwater, provides a unique series of contrasting ecosystems from the vast solitude of the desert to the rich underwater realms and black coral gardens. Trip prerequisites: must be ready and willing to experience the adventure of a lifetime! We will be at the right place at the right time to see blue whales, bull sharks, and flying mobula rays. Go on day and night dives at remote islands that are inaccessible without a long-range liveaboard like ours, encountering the abundant sea life that the Sea of Cortez has to offer. We will also explore popular dive sites such as Los Islotes where we will encounter friendly sea lions; El Bajo, which is known for its schools of hammerhead sharks and a fabulous night dive with mobula rays. Included in our itinerary is a day spent diving in Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park. The park has the only living reef on this side of the hemisphere where divers can experience schools of fish that are over 40' tall. This is a voyage you do not want to miss! Our trips have dive masters on board to lead dives and assist divers. We also have two Zodiac drivers vigilantly watching for bubbles and retrieving divers upon surfacing. We provide 80 cubic ft. aluminum tanks that are both DIN & yoke compatible. BEFORE YOUR TRIP Beverly, in Guest Services, will contact you after your booking to provide you with a link so that you can complete a passenger document (your travel agent will do this if booked through a travel agency). We will also need a copy of your passport and appropriately signed liability waivers. PLEASE PROVIDE THESE DOCUMENTS NO LESS THAN 30 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR TRIP DATE. The more information we have, the better we can accommodate your needs including dietary restrictions, if any. Beverly can be reached at BPeterson@RocioDelMarLiveaboard.com or you can e-mail or fax the information to the contact information listed on the front page of this document. If you are flying to Mexico, you can visit www.sat.gob.mx for important information on what is permitted to bring on your flight to Mexico. We provide bath towels and dive deck towels and these are changed mid-trip. Quino has four spacious, air conditioned bathrooms with a full-size shower in each bathroom on the dive deck. Each cabin is assigned to a bathroom so guests can leave their personal items and towels in the bathroom. Shampoo and soap dispensers are in each shower. The galley also has a projector and a large drop down screen should your group want to do presentations. The comfortable salon has sofas, a TV, and computer table. The dive deck is large and well organized with a spacious camera table. There is a dive platform for ease of boarding the inflatables. GETTING TO THE BOAT Southern Safari trips differ from our other trips in that the departure/arrival locations can change between San Jose del Cabo and La Paz. We will provide information for both San Jose del Cabo and La Paz. 3 P a g e

SAN JOSE DEL CABO Quino el Guardian is located at Marina Puerto Los Cabos in La Playita, San Jose del Cabo. All guests must travel to San Jose del Cabo (SJD). Guests are responsible for their own transportation to and from the boat. The marina is about 25 minutes from the airport and 15 minutes from downtown San Jose del Cabo. The most economical way from the airport to the marina is to take a Collectivo (shuttle) and a taxi. The Collectivo (shuttle) charges $15.00 USD per person. Once you collect your bags and leave customs you will enter a lobby. You will find a stand that says taxi. A taxi ride from the airport to the marina is about $60 USD. You can ask for a Collectivo at this same stand. A Collectivo is a very nice shuttle that takes about 9 passengers and does a hotel drop. Since you are going to San Jose you will be dropped off first. You can have the Collectivo drop you off at the Hotel Tropicana. At the hotel, you can then request a taxi to the Marina Puerto Los Cabos. You should not pay more than $10 USD. It's about a 15-minute ride from the hotel to the marina. By choosing these two methods of transportation it should cost you about $25 USD. If you choose just to get a taxi from the airport to the marina it should cost about $60 USD. If you have more than one person, it is often easiest to use a taxi directly to the marina. LA PAZ If you fly into San Jose del Cabo, you have two options to get you from the airport to La Paz: INDIVIDUALS EcoBajaTours - public transport service https://www.ecobajatours.com (800)026-8331 Round Trip is approximately $60 USD per person Allow 3 hours for drive time Select LA PAZ MALECON as location if going from SJD to La Paz Select LOS CABOS AIRPORT (SJD) as location if going from La Paz to SJD Guests need to go online and book their seat. We advise guests to do this as soon as possible as seats are booked quickly during tourist season. A confirmation number is provided via email. The confirmation number is what the driver will ask for. Pick up is at International and National terminals. For INTERNATIONAL Terminal Pick Up Location Guests exit the airport walking between two outdoor bars. Cross the street and walk toward the La Isla bar. On the right side find tent #5. You will see an EBT (EcoBajaTours) person holding a blue, gold and white sign with EBT in black lettering. The drivers are dressed in black long pants and a pressed white long sleeve shirt. 4 P a g e

For NATIONAL Terminal Pick Up Location In front of airport entrance on the steps or close to the curb. The EcoBajaTour office is in this terminal if they want to check on their passage. Transportation to the Boat Once Arrived at Bus Terminal in La Paz Take a taxi to the boat from La Paz Malecon bus terminal. It is about a five-minute ride to the marina. There are 3 marinas that we use in La Paz. Please contact Beverly in Guest Services three days prior to boarding for exact boat location. GROUPS Baja Ground Service - private transport service Contact name: Carlos (800)352-4990 (210)930-5700 reservations@bajaonly.com www.bajaonly.com Guests need to call for pricing and to make their own arrangements. Allow 3 hours drive time. Baja Ground Service has two size vans: 10 passengers and 16 passengers. RETURN The boat will return to the marina during the night and passengers need to be ready to depart by 8:30am on the last day of your trip. A continental breakfast will be served. Our crew will call taxis to get everyone to the airport, bus station or their hotel. ITINERARY You will board the boat after 5:00pm and dinner will be served at 7:00pm. The boat will depart shortly thereafter. Please do not ask to board the boat prior to 5:00pm. The crew is very busy getting the boat readied for the trip. Once aboard Quino el Guardian, you will be shown to your cabin and dive station. Our dive master will ask you to provide your scuba diving certification cards and proof of dive insurance.
