These delegates explored and were exposed to various tourism sites, road shows, grooming, choreography, media interviews and sporting activities, which the experiences and values learnt, I believe would definitely last a life time. A pleasant evening to everyone! t is of great pleasure that I wish to welcome your esteemed personalities to this remarkable event, The Beauty of Africa IInternational Pageant (BAIP) 2017. Today we mark the beginning of a new milestone, after a successful decade of producing the most prestigious Beauty Pageant in Africa, with a landmark of promoting, Tourism, Peace and Friendship with the aim of empowering young beautiful and talented Ladies in Africa. The Pageant was formerly known and addressed as Face of Daniels International (FODI) Beauty Pageant in 2007 to 2009 which metamorphosed to The Beauty of Africa International Pageant (BAIP) in 2010. The story is never better told than experienced. Following the 1st Lagos edition last year (2016), The Beauty of Africa International Pageant is once again here to hold the whole of Africa spellbound. With the Theme: Promoting Tourism, Peace and Friendship. The Beauty of Africa International Pageant has created a platform to promote unity through our cultural values and tourism over the years. Thirty Seven (37) contestants were picked from auditions across the 36 states of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory Tonight you will be seeing the contestants compete keenly for the most prestigious Pageant in Africa, The BAIP 2017 Queen/Miss Tourism International Nigeria, with a car star prize, 4 runners-up: Miss Supranational Nigeria, Miss Globe Nigeria, Miss Tourism Queen of the Year Nigeria and Miss Tourism Metropolitan Nigeria, 4 regional Queens: Miss Northern Nigeria, Miss Eastern Nigeria, Miss Western Nigeria and Miss Southern Nigeria. 11 subsidiary titles, which includes; Miss Charity Queen, Best in Personality, Best in Photogenic, Best in Disco, Best in Intelligence, Best in Social Media, Most Friendship, Best in Traditional Costume, Best in Talent, Best in Evening Gown and Best Model. My utmost gratitude goes to our partners and stakeholders for their support in numerous ways, also my warmest regards to the media personnel's and everyone who has graze this event out of their busy schedules, the celebrities and the creative crew of THE BAIP 2017 for their hard work and sleepless night to ensure the success of the entire event. OUTGOING QUEENS ow humbling is it to stand here tonight reminiscing on where my journey began over a year ago. It has been an unforgettable year Hof growth, accomplishments, obstacles, surprises, cherished moments and adventures. I want to thank the beauty of Africa International Pageant for the privilege given to me. This experience made me meet new people, participate in different events and gatherings of our beloved society which helped me become a better person. Through BAIP I was able to effect my Pet project titled CHILD EDUCATION, EDUCATION FOR ALL which was executed in different states of our lovely Nation. I am really glad to have given back to Children of Nigeria who need our help and motivation, both the abled and disabled. To the young ladies wishing to be beauty queens, believe in yourself, follow your heart and your dreams. You are capable and worthy of being and doing anything, you just need the discipline and determination to see it through. Never give up, live like you mean it, believe you can and you will. Everyone needs help along the way to succeed. I want to thank the CEO of The Beauty of Africa International Pageant Mr Daniel Opuene, May God continue to bless you, my manager Miss Celine, my chaperone miss Bimbo, National Liason Officer Miss Rubby, my driver Hillary and every other person in the organization that made my reign wonderful.
