CSC Monthly Meeting The October monthly meeting was called to order by Becky Akert, President. With very little business she invited the trip captains to tell about the current ski trips. Tom Becker talked about both Copper trips as Hollis Anderson was absent for this meeting and Tom Becker, trip captain for Copper Mountain in February 2019 is taking reservations now. If there is anyone willing to share driving to please contact him as there are a few drive outs looking for rides. Congratulations to our two Trip Certificate winners. The certificates were won Jenny Simpson reported that there are still two seats available on the bus. It is not to late to sign up for any or all of the three trips being offered. by Joyce Huff and Jon Springer. The November meeting is the last chance you will have to win a trip certificate. You must be present to win. Warren Miller Movie December 20 (Thursday) at 5:00 p.m. a Warren Miller movie Face of Winter will be shown at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, 3201 Farnam St, Omaha which is in the Midtown Crossing shopping complex. The monthly November meeting will be on Tuesday, November 13 at 7:00 p.m. due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Please take note and plan to meet at Dino s Eastside Grille. This is the last meeting of the year where two trip certificates will be given away. You must be present to win! Come early and plan to eat as the food is good and have a drink with your meal. 2

Solo bunks: A solo sleeping bunk may be available at a cost of $80.00 if the bus does not fill. Let your trip captain know and get on the list! New member discount: New members are given a $25.00 discount upon trip signup. Please encourage people you have met that ski/board to join us and mention this discount. A person that has been a member in the past (before May 1, 2015) that renews membership could also be eligible for this discount on a trip. (Add your name to a list for an available single bunk for $80.00 round trip) CONDO: Three nights in Copper Village Condos in Copper Village. We have 2 bedroom/2 bath units at minimum occupancy (4 in a room) in Center Village, a 5 minute walk to the TWO NEW LIFTS. There will be change rooms in both buildings for arrival and departure. Trip Price: $419.00 includes bus transportation, lodging, bus beverages and welcome party but NO LIFT TICKETS. Those of you with season or 4 packs, take note! COPPER MOUNTAIN IN DECEMBER TWO NEW LIFTS!! Wait a minute.csc went there last year! Yes, we are returning because Copper Mt. has offered us great lodging prices and low, low lift ticket prices! Along with this offer, we will be some of the first skiers to use the two NEW LIFTS at the base of Copper Mt. The American Flyer lift will be a high-speed 6-person chair with bubble enclosure to protect against the winds along the ridge. The American Eagle lift is being replaced with a combination lift that features both 6-person chairs & 8-person gondolas. We just couldn t beat that deal!! $545.00 includes 3-day lift ticket, transportation, lodging, bus beverages and welcome party. Add $42.00 for 4 th day lift or subtract $42.00 for less than 3 days. DRIVEOUTS: Drive outs will pay the same price until the bus is full per CSC policy. If the bus fills, we will need to procure additional lodging. More skiers are needed to complete this trip. FSA STEAMBOAT SPRINGS! TRIP FINAL PAYMENTS ARE DUE BY NOVEMBER 13. It is time to decide on the number of days you plan to ski. Our trip captain, Jenny Simpson, will also take your t-shirt orders NOW! You can add a race clinic for $99.00. Also the Open Race ($25) on Thursday is a pre-signup so be sure to let her know you want to be included in the random lottery for the race. Add $49.00 for 5 th day lift. Subtract $69.00 from basic trip cost for less lift days. The CSC board voted to again allow drive/fly outs at a reduced price. That s just over $100 per day for a lift ticket and warm lodging with friends. How can you pass this up? Lift tickets are $42.00 per day so add for a 4 th day or subtract for less than 3 days.
