Cultural Features in Product Design. Entrepreneurial Initiative in VET. Tangible outcomes

Briefly about EntreVET The methodological idea of the project was to blend visual motives from each partner's cultural heritage or other cultural or regional features into patterns which are used in product development. Istituto di Istruzione Superiore G. Mazzatinti- Gubbio, Italy Taking inspiration from the Cultural Heritage of the Medieval town of Gubbio, new patterns were created to be printed on T shirts, bags, bookmarkers, cards and wrapping papers. The papers were also used to realize covers for handmade notebooks, photo albums, copybooks and folders. The products were realized by local graphic studios, typographies and craftsmen in order to launch new ideas for souvenirs. A gallery of patterns can be found on our website: https://www.raahenedu.fi/entrevet/patterns/

Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño y de Conservación y Restauración de Bienes Culturales de Burgos, Some of the products have been designed by our students, but others, have been created by them, following all the productive process, from the idea to the final results.

Raahen koulutuskuntayhtymä The patterns are inspired by Finnish national heritage and nature. Finns love drinking coffee and that s why our students ended up to big coffee mugs. Patterns were also printed to mousepads.
