Tour : Classic Namibia Selfdrive 2012 01-Jul-2012-19-Jul-2012 QUOTE NO: 1308 RES NO: Date Hotel Basis 01-Jul-12-02-Jul-12 Windhoek / Olive Grove Guesthouse Upon arrival in Windhoek, transfer to the guesthouse, afternoon meeting with your Profile representative who will answer any questions you have and provide you with detiailed travelling information. Evening at leisure. Windhoek is often described as a city with a continental atmosphere. This can be attributed to its architecture historical buildings dating back to German colonial rule as well as to its, cuisine, culture, dress codes and educational institutions. At the same time Windhoek has the color, sounds and tempo of a modern African city. Pavement displays of African drums and woodcarvings from the north contrast with elegant shops offering sophisticated Swakara garments and Namibian gemstones set in designed pieces of jewelry. You will have some time at leisure for shopping in the capital. www.olivegrove-namibia.com A small, up market accommodation establishment situated close to the Windhoek city centre in a quiet, peaceful area. Each room has a large veranda with tables and chairs for al fresco dining. The open-air lounge, spa bath, plunge pool and tranquil garden all invite the visitor to unwind and relax under Namibia s open skies. The inside lounge is tastefully decorated, with comfortable chairs and a fireplace in front of which to relax. The stunning open plan kitchen creates a homely feel while providing tasty meals. Olive Grove will turn Windhoek into one of the highlights of any trip, creating and leaving a lasting impression of this beautiful country. Whilst each of the 11 rooms caters for the every need of the most discerning traveller, the emphasis remains one of simplicity and elegance. 02-Jul-12-03-Jul-12 Kalahari / Bagatelle Kalahari Game Ranch D This morning you will receive your rental car around 9h00, from here you will then travel via Rehoboth into the Kalahari. In the afternoon you can go on an optional game drive in the area. - Overnight in Dune Chalets Bagatelle - this French word refers to something small, of little consequence, not very important! The lodge lies on the edge of the Southern Kalahari in the mixed tree and shrub Savanna. The ranch is characterized by huge red sands dunes running parallel, and in a northern-westerly to south-easterly direction. The design and décor, materials and furnishings, gardens and natural settings, all combine to ensure our guests live their dream of an African Safari. A rambling old farmhouse was extensively altered, upgraded and renovated to not only serve as a residence, but also as the main nerve center of the Lodge. An entrance hall leads to the reception, lounge, dining room, bar & cellar, library and office. There is a swimming pool and recreation area with a pool table and hammock. An open air lapa for outdoor meals captures the atmosphere of an African Safari. Four chalets, constructed of wood and on stilts are built on top of a Kalahari sand dune, with unsurpassed views to the Southwest. The other six chalets are built in the street or valley between the dunes. The main difference between the two styles of chalets besides the construction method is the fact that the dune chalets have a bath and shower, while the hay bale chalets only have a shower. Our Nature drive during the early morning and late afternoon will enable you not only to view our diversified animal and bird life, but also the unique dune topography and vegetation. Traditional sundowners on a red Kalahari sand dune will be the perfect way to watch the sun sink away into the distant dunes. 27 October, 2011 Page 2 of 8

03-Jul-12-05-Jul-12 Fish River Canyon / Canon Lodge D Next morning travel via Keetmanshoop where you can visit the Quivertree forest and Giants Playground to Fish River Canyon. You have the next day at leisure to explore the canyon and surrounding areas. The Fish River canyon, situated along the lower reaches of the Fish River, is one of the most impressive natural beauties in the southern part of Namibia. It developed predominantly during the pluvial times - a rainy climatic epoch - many millions of years ago. With a depth of up to 550 metres, the Fish River Canyon is the second largest canyon in the world, before the Grand Canyon in America. The enormous gorge meanders along a distance of approx. 160 kilometres through the fissured Koubis massif all the way down to Ai-Ais. The canyon starts near Seeheim, is 161 kilometres long and ends at Ai-Ais. The Fish River Canyon probably formed about 500 million years ago. However, the gorge was not only created by water erosion, but also through the collapse of the valley bottom due to movements in the earth's crust. Because the Fish River is being dammed in Hardap near Mariental, it only contains a small amount of running water. In winter, during the dry season, the river bed is often completely dry or reduced to only the occassional puddle. However, after rainfalls in summer the river can become a raging torrent. The canyon is part of a Nature Conservation Park. The gate is situated at the restcamp Hobas. From there, you have to drive another 10 kilometres to the actual Canyon which offers a stunning view of "Hell's Bend". Canon Lodge The Nama Karoo yellow flowers of quiver trees against the blue sky at the second largest canyon on earth. The quiver tree is a typical stem succulent of the Nama Karoo, and on the vast plains of Gondwana Canon Park several clusters can be found. With an area of 1120 km² and the first tract of land acquired in 1995, this park is the largest and oldest nature reserve of the Gondwana Desert Collection. Watch Springbok, Gemsbok, Hartebeest, Ostrich and Mountain Zebra; discover the Sundowner Bar in a rock face; and visit the main lookout point at the Fish River Canyon only 20 km away. Canon Lodge is situated in Gondwana Canon Park, only 20 km from the Fish River Canyon. The 25 en-suite chalets are thatched and build from natural stone. Nestled against massive granite boulders, you will feel that you are living the lap of nature. Linger at the restaurant and take closer look at the carefully arranged decoration from the pioneering days of farming. For exploring park on your own, the choice between horse, four-wheel drive and walking stick. Or just relax with a book on our terrace shaded by tree or by the swimming pool. Seeing the winding gorges of the canyon from the air, could well be the highlight of your holiday. 05-Jul-12-06-Jul-12 Lüderitz / Nest Hotel Travel via Seeheim to Lüderitz, Afternoon at leisure to explore this historical town, visit the Diaz Cross and drive along the scenic bays The Nest Hotel is situated directly on prime beach front property in Luderitz. Explore the surroundings by hiking trails, scenic drives or just relax in the tranquil setting - Overnight in the Desert Horse Inn www.namibhorses.com Klein-Aus Vista (3 km west of Aus on the B 4 to Lüderitz) Elegant Desert Horse Inn consists of 24 tastefully decorated rooms with spacious en-suite bathrooms. Enjoy a sundowner on the sundeck, at the Wild Horse Bar or (in winter) at the fireplace in the lounge before you sit down for your three course dinner in the restaurant. Go for a hiking tour at the mountains of Aus or join us on an adventurous excursion in a four-wheel drive. Solitude, vastness, silence and magnificent sunsets this is the ambience of Eagle s Nest Lodge, a 15- minute drive from the reception. Each of the 8 chalets has been build from natural rock around a huge granite boulder and it is equipped with a bathroom, kitchenette, fireplace and its own verandah. Meals are served in the Desert Horse Inn restaurant. 07-Jul-12-09-Jul-12 Sesriem / Hoodia Desert Camp D After leisurely breakfast drive via Helmeringhausen to Sesriem area and your lodge situated about 23 km away. Enjoy an optional sundowner drive on the property or just relax in your open air private bath. Looking at the African stars. Leave very, very early for Sesriem -request b/fast packs early at the lodge the previous night. The gate to enter to Sossusvlei opens at sunrise, form here it is another 65km to Sossusvlei parking from there you can take a 4x4 shuttle service to Sossusvlei. This is a dune wonderland, with towering dunes up to 300 m high surrounding a huge, dried up pan. The warm tints of the sand, ranging from pale apricot to brick orange and deep red, contrast vividly with the dazzling white surfaces of the large deflationary clay pans at some of their bases. On your return journey make a stop as Deadvlei and Sesriem Canyon. Evening dinner included Nestled on the banks of the Tsauchab River is the beautiful Hoodia Desert Lodge. Situated 22 kilometres south east of Sesriem, our new lodge is intended to offer a little more luxury to the individual traveller. 12 comfortable tented bungalows offer you the privilege of privacy and relaxation. The bungalows have open air bathrooms and shaded porches. An added bonus is stargazing platforms for those crystal clear desert nights, when you can almost reach out and touch the stars. In our restaurant you can enjoy exquisite international and traditional cuisine. A 15 minute drive will bring you to the gates of Sossusvlei, heart of the oldest desert in the world, the Namib. It is surely one of the most spectacular sights in Namibia and is renowned for its high sand dunes. On request we offer guided bird, plant and scenic excursions as well as game drives to explore this desert wonderland. 09-Jul-12-11-Jul-12 Swakopmund / Swakopmund Guesthouse Continue to our coastal region and Swakopmund via the Kuiseb Canyon and Walvis Bay. Afternoon at leisure. You have the next day to enjoy optional activities, like Dolphin Boat Cruise, Living Desert Tour or for the more adventurous Quadbiking or Skydiving.Swakopmund, Namibia s seaside resort resembling a Bavarian village nestled between the Desert and the Sea. You approach the town through the endless expanses of the Namib Desert, one of the world s largest wilderness areas. Then, through the mists (it is almost always misty in the morning and late afternoon) Bavarian spires and elaborate Germanic architecture rise through the fog banks. The boom of the surf on the notorious Skeleton Coast is an ever-present reminder of the icy Atlantic Ocean beyond. The town is an eclectic mixture of Bohemian and Bavarian, home to an intriguing mix of artists, hippies, strait-laced descendants of German settlers, stately Herero women in Victorian dress, and hard bitten miners, game rangers, safari operators and fishermen. Swakopmund exudes romance and history, a rich cultural melting pot of old gold. Spend the afternoon at leisure exploring this historic town on foot. www.swakopmundguesthouse.com It is fresh and inviting and oozes a holiday feel, "says Leander Borg of his new-found project in the hospitality industry. Situated in the town centre, a mere five-minute walk from the beach and main shopping area, Swakopmund Guesthouse is owned and run by the Borg family. Officially opened in December, the guesthouse was previously used as a holiday house by the very family that runs it now. It has been completely revamped to offer four standard rooms, seven luxury rooms and one family suite for guests wanting to indulge in a comfortable stay-over close to the ocean. The spacious rooms are fitted with crisp, white linen sheets. Wallpaper portraying a peaceful view of the ocean adds to the clean and neat atmosphere of the guesthouse. The en-suite bathrooms with soft cream walls are decorated with beach pebbles that give them a unique atmosphere. 27 October, 2011 Page 4 of 8

11-Jul-12-12-Jul-12 Damaraland / Camp Kipwe D Early departure via Uis, to Twyfelfontein area. Enroute you can make a stop at the engravings. Twyfelfontein (meaning doubtful fountain) is a massive, open-air art gallery of great interest to international rock art connoiseurs. Regarded as one of the richest collections of rock engravings in Africa, this treasure house of rock engravings left by stone-age artists is the first site in Namibia to be nominated by the Namibian Monuments Council for recognition by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. This will ensure that measures for preservation of the site are taken and maintained. South of Twyfelfontein is the Burnt Mountain, a panorama of desolation with coloured rocks contrasting vividly against the grey-black surroundings. The Organ Pipes, a mass of basalt slabs in a ravine gouged out by a river, is another geological curiosity in the area. South west of Twyfelfontein is the Doros Crater, where fossil remains have been found among the rocks. www.campkipwe.com 'Kipwe', meaning blessed in Swahili, is built creatively into the large granite boulders of the Twyfelfontein area. The camp is nestled in the boulders, facing out onto superb scenery. Incorporating boulders, small red basalt rocks and mopane branches, it has a natural organic feel. The eight rooms are round in shape, with large outside decks to admire the view. The outside, partially open bathrooms adjoining the bedrooms have boulder, cement and rock walls, and roofs of rough mopane branches. Hot water is supplied by wood-burning 'donkey' boilers. The central area of the camp is raised and comprises four thatched domes; the reception area and curio shop, dining room, lounge and bar and guest toilets all with amazing views toward the Aba Huab riverbed. An outside boma area is an additional venue for fire-cooked meals. The central sitting area is furnished with wood and cane chairs, a leather couch, rough hewn chunks of wood used as small tables, tree trunk supports and woven lights hanging elegantly from the thatch roofs. A small swimming pool built into the rocks and a viewpoint with 360 degrees of breathtaking beauty, are two attractive outdoor features. Activities at the camp include nature drives with the possibility of seeing the desert-adapted elephants in the dry season, Twyfelfontein excursions to the rock engravings and guided walks in front of the camp with Kipwe's experienced guides. 12-Jul-12-13-Jul-12 Etosha South / Etosha Safari Lodge D Depart via Khorixas, close by is the Petrified Forest, where a cataclysmic event millions of years ago deposited giant tree trunks which subsequently turned to stone. Today the Namib's living fossil plant, Welwitschia mirabilis, grows among these prostrate fossilised trunks. Continue via Outjo to the border of Etosha and your lodge situated on the surrounding hillside. The lodge consists of 55 air-conditioned double room chalets, a restaurant, a bar and three swimming pools. Situated on a hillock about 2 km from the camp, it affords magnificent views across tree-covered hills. Etosha's Andersson Gate is a mere 10 km away. The lodge offers daily guided game drives into the park for those who do not want to drive themselves. 27 October, 2011 Page 5 of 8

13-Jul-12-15-Jul-12 Etosha / Okaukuejo Rest Camp Enter the park early, you have the next 2 days at leisure for game drives from the comfort of your own vehicle. Etosha owes its unique landscape to the Etosha Pan, a vast shallow depression of approximately 5 000 square km. A series of waterholes along the Southern edge of the pan guarantee the rewarding and often spectacular game viewing. In good rain years the pan fills with water draining southwards from Angola via the delta like system of shallow rivers and oshanas, drying out in the winter to become an austere expanse of white cracked mud, shimmering with mirages and upward spiraling dust devils. Of the mammal species found in the park, several are rare and endangered, such as black rhino and black-faced impala. Etosha s elephants are reputed to be the largest in Africa, the tallest ones measuring up to 4m at the shoulder. Their tusks, on the other hand, are relatively small. For the greater part of the year the Etosha Pan is a bleak expanse of white cracked mud which shimmers with mirages on most days. Seeing vast herds of game against this eerie backdrop makes the Etosha game-viewing experience unique. Optional guided day and night game drives are offered by the lodge, book upon arrival. - Overnight in Bush Chalets www.nwr.com.na Okaukuejo is 114kms north of Outjo on the C38. This road leads you right to Etosha Park's Andersson's Gate and from here it is only a few 'game viewing' kilometers to Okaukuejo. It is the oldest tourist camp in Etosha and it currently functions as the administrative hub of the park as well as being home to the Etosha Ecological Institute. It is situated at the Southern end of the Etosha Pan. The main attraction of this camp is that it overlooks a permanent waterhole, which is floodlit at night. Here a wide diversity of wildlife congregates and interacts. The spectacle starts at dawn, with animals coming in large numbers to quench their thirst. The excitement continues throughout the day and deep into the night. In the early evenings, it is not uncommon to have black rhinoceros, elephant and lion, all drinking at the same time. There is a bar, shop, swimming pool and a kiosk The restaurant provides a choice of a buffet or 'a la carte' menus. Premier Waterhole Chalet: double story chalet with a balcony overlooking the waterhole. Two bedrooms, downstairs with 2 single beds and upstairs with a queen size double. Lounge area, fridge and tea-station Family Chalet: self catering unit with two bedrooms, kitchenette and braai (barbeque) area Waterhole Chalet: situated close to the waterhole these are comfortable double rooms with en-suite bathroom, fridge & tea-station Bush Chalet: 2 bed chalet with one bedroom, bathroom, lounge area & braai. Equipped with fridge & tea station Double Room: room with en-suite bathroom, fridge & tea station Okaukuejo is the main area of tourist activity inside Etosha, but visitors can also choose to stay at either Halali, Namutoni or Onkoshi Camp. All four of these camps are operated by Namibia Wildlife Resorts and have the advantage of being inside the Etosha National Park. Alternatively, you might like to enquire about several other private lodges around Etosha. 15-Jul-12-16-Jul-12 Etosha East / Etosha Aoba Lodge D Continue via the park, visit the museum at Namutoni, then continue to your lodge situated about 15km outside the park. In the evening sit around the fire, under the Namibian sky, and enjoy your last days before you start on your return journey. www.etosha-aoba-lodge.com Etosha Aoba situated in a tranquil retreat located in a Tamboti-Terminalia forest next to a dry river bed. Be close to nature, wining and dining under the thatched roof of the main building which is virtually without walls so that african sights, sounds and smells are ever present. The structure of wood and thatch with natural stone floors and furnished with dolf wood furniture and local handicrafts enhance the african fee. Experience true tranquillity amid savanna bushveld and tall Tamboti trees, where birds, tree-squirrels and bush-babies abound in the leafy canopies surrounding the Lodge and the bungalows. Here, no Muzak invades the peace of the bush and vehicles remain on the parking area away from the cottage. Have a drink at the bar, watch the bushbabies at sunset from the veranda or relax by the pool and take a dip. The small plunge pool is a concession to the creature comforts of our guests! Even just relaxing by the pool, the binoculars should be close to hand to spot birds and squirrels active in the tall, shady trees above. Or perhaps kudu will stand and admire your tan! 27 October, 2011 Page 6 of 8

16-Jul-12-18-Jul-12 Waterberg / Waterberg Guestfarm D Continue via Tsumeb and Otjiwarongo to Waterberg area. Next day at leisure to explore the area, visit CCF or do some light walking trails. - Overnight in Bush Bungalows www.exclusive.com.na Situated at the foot of the majestic Waterberg Plateau in northern Namibia is the magnificent Waterberg Guest Farm, a 42 000 hectare paradise of natural African savannah. Our concept is simple a small luxury guest house, accommodating a limited number of guests, set in the midst of a wildlife haven with personal attention, spectacular surroundings and exceptional cuisine.the Waterberg Conservancy includes Waterberg Guest Farm, the Waterberg Plateau Park, the Cheetah Conservation Trust (CCF) and several surrounding ranches and forms a combined natural habitat of over 150 000 hectares committed to the conservation of flora, fauna and fragile ecosystems In order to share the natural beauty and heritage of the Waterberg and their passion for conservation with visitors, Harry opened the Waterberg Guest Farm in 1995.The original 1930s manager s house was converted into a guesthouse with 4 double and twin rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms. All rooms have toilets, showers and basins (one of the rooms also has an additional bathtub). All rooms have their own private entrance leading out to a veranda.the spacious dining room is also located in the guesthouse, along with the comfortable lounge - the perfect spot to relax after a long day outdoors. In addition to the guesthouse, there are four luxury bush bungalows situated 160 metres from the main guesthouse. The truly unique bungalows are built according to the traditional Herero method. 18-Jul-12-19-Jul-12 Windhoek / Olive Grove Guesthouse We return to Windhoek via Okahandja where you can make a short stop at the woodcarvers. Evening at leisure.
