SECTION 1 Welcome Asia Pacific Insurance Conference 18th 20th October 2017, Singapore Proudly supported by ILAS (Insurance Law Association of Singapore), AILA (Australian Insurance Law Association), FDCC (Federation of Defence and Corporate Counsel), NZILA (New Zealand Insurance Law Association) Welcome to the 2017 Asia Pacific Insurance Conference. This is the first Asian regional conference organized by a collection of major insurance related organizations, affiliated under the auspices of Association Internationale de Droit des Assurances (AIDA). AIDA is a non-profit making international association, formed in 1960, for the purpose of promoting and developing at an international level, collaboration between its members with a view to increasing the study and knowledge of international and national insurance law and related matters. It is AIDA s aim to propose measures with a view to the insurance industry adopting them at a national and international level, leading to harmonisation of insurance law or means for resolution of insurance disputes. The Asia Pacific Insurance Conference (APIC) uniquely draws together regional and international experience and expertise to host an insurance industry conference that will provide a singular opportunity to focus attention on insurance issues that are relevant to the Asia Pacific region specifically, and globally as a whole. Our Speakers (which currently include Singapore Supreme Court Judge, The Honourable Justice Quentin Loh, and CUO of Liberty International Underwriters Noel MacCarthy ) will represent a broad range of industries and disciplines directly involved in the Asian insurance market. This will include underwriters, claims handlers, actuaries, risk engineers, loss adjustors, brokers, lawyers and reinsurers to present a program of wide appeal to all sectors of the market. The organising committee is currently putting together a diverse program that will incorporate speakers from a range of countries within the Asia Pacific rim. This event will showcase the Asian insurance industry and the expertise which resides in Asia and presents potential sponsors with an exceptional opportunity to promote their organisation and network with a broad range of delegates from a number of disciplines within and supporting the insurance industry and from countries that include Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, China, India, South Korea, USA, Philippines, New Zealand and Australia. The professional program will focus on issues and challenges that are directly relevant to Asia and the Pacific. As a consequence, the organising committee is actively seeking sponsorship support from organisations either with a substantial presence in Asia or a desire to participate in this market. TERMS & CONDITIONS All costs exclude tax and are in Singapore Dollars. A tax invoice will be sent upon receipt of a signed application form. The confirmation of a sponsorship item is at the full discretion of the 2017 APIC Conference Committee and will take into account the level of sponsorship, sponsoring organisation, sponsorship package availability, date of application booking and other relevant matters. Platinum, Gold and Silver Partner packages do not create any legal relationship as partners with APIC. 2017 APIC reserves the right to refuse your application for any reason at its sole discretion. If your application is accepted, 2017 APIC will contact you using the contact information provided by you on the Sponsorship Application Form. All accepted applicants must sign and return the Sponsorship Agreement, as applicable, within 14 days of receiving notification of acceptance of your application. 2017 APIC will provide you with the relevant Agreement. Failure to return the signed Sponsorship Agreement within the period specified in this clause will result in the immediate revocation of such acceptance.
