GENERAL OVERVIEW The Audubon YMCA provides a safe, nurturing camp experience where kids of all ages can grow and develop a sense of independence. Our goal is to provide an exciting camp day in a fun and friendly environment. A variety of fun activities are planned each week and are designed around a fun theme. Group activities like arts and crafts, field trips, and swimming give kids the confidence to make new friends and create memories that last a lifetime. CAMP DIRECTOR Hope Lindblade 610-539-0900, ext. 2520 SUMMER CAMP HOURS Monday Friday 9:00 AM 4:00 PM All Campers must be present by 9:00 AM unless approved by the Camp Director. EXTENDED CAMP CARE Staffed by our Camp Directors and Counselors, your children will have positive role models to interact with on a daily basis. We provide a variety of games and sports in an indoor or outdoor setting. Ages: 3-14 Sessions: 1-10 Before Care Hours 7 AM 9 AM After Care Hours 4 PM 6 PM BEFORE AND AFTER CARE COST IS INCLUDED IN CAMP FEE. Children being signed out after 6:00 PM will incur a late fee of $1 per minute per child past 6:05 PM that they are in our care. Camp registration can be taken at Audubon Y Welcome Center: Monday - Thursday: 6:30 AM - 9 PM Friday: 8 AM - 7 PM Saturday: 8 AM - 4 PM Sunday: 8 AM - 1 PM All campers must have a current Y membership; otherwise a Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA Full Privilege or Youth Program Membership must be purchased. Registration closes two weeks before each camp week begins. Please be sure to register in advance, as our sessions fill up quickly. Registration requires a non-refundable $25 per week deposit. Deposits are applied to camp fees. Registration weeks are transferable until June 5, 2017. Requests to change camp sessions less than 30 days prior to the start of camp will incur a $20 change fee. 2 (610) 539-0900 ACA ACCREDITED This Y Camp is accredited with the American Camping Association and compliant with over 3,000 aspects of camp administration, quality and the health and safety of campers and staff. NO PLACE FOR HATE FACILITY This Y is a designated No Place For Hate facility after completing a year of antibias and anti-bullying programs.

SMALL FEET AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 1-10 The fun starts early for our littlest campers ages 3-5 years. Camp Small feet is designed with hands-on learning and fun in mind. Arts and crafts, songs, and games are centered around weekly themes to engage curious preschoolers. Swimming and outside play are a highlight of summer camp for this age group. All campers must be toilet-trained. PIONEERS AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 1-10 Camp Pioneers focuses on a traditional Summer Camp experience for children in grades 1 2. Campers learn how to create new friendships and explore the natural world around them. Camp activities like art, music, nature, swimming and sports are designed to build confidence, new skills, and untapped talent. Themes, field trips and special events make it a different adventure every week. EXPLORERS AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 1-10 Camp Explorers focuses on a traditional Summer Camp experience for children in grades 3 4. Campers become more self-reliant and will explore new interests with activities like art, music, nature, swimming and sports. Themes, field trips and special events make it a different adventure every week. PATHFINDERS AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 1-10 Camp Pathfinders gives kids in grades 5 6 a traditional camp experience with an emphasis on independence, and learning the importance of team building and leadership skills. Campers will enjoy fun-filled activities such as art, music, nature, swimming and sports designed to build confidence and encourage exploration into new areas. Themes, field trips and special events make it a different adventure every week. TRAILBLAZERS AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 1-10 Camp Trailblazers is intended for young teens and is designed to build their leadership skills, let them explore different career opportunities, give them a chance to make a difference in their community and most importantly, to let them have a fun-filled indoor and outdoor summer experience! Activities may include leadership, sports, adventure, swimming, nature exploration, the arts, social time and more. SPECIALTY CAMPS Specialty Camps include recreational swimming once a week or a weekly field trip. Campers travel to exciting off-site locations and experience hands-on and interactive live performances. ACTIVE ARCADE CAMP AVAILABLE SESSION: 1 Interactive video games and active outdoor play will be the focus of fun in this innovative program. Games like Wii sports and Dance Dance Revolution along with physical activity will make up the daily schedules. 9-14 YEARS ART EXPLOSION CAMP AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 2, 6 If you like to create then this camp is for you. Learn to use the different mediums of the fine arts and create your own masterpiece by the end of the week. 8-12 YEARS ARTS SMARTS CAMP AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 1, 5 An introduction to the arts with a special emphasis on exploring the creative strengths of each camper. Bring along your favorite photos and memories too! 10-13 YEARS COLONIAL CAMP AVAILABLE SESSION: 3 What was life like in the days of Washington and Hamilton? Make a colonial toy, create a colonial meal with a special Valley Forge visit. 7-10 YEARS CREATIVE KITCHEN CAMP AVAILABLE SESSION: 3, 7 A new camp for our youngest campers - explore the art of no bake cooking to create the yummiest delights. Learn about healthy choices with some fun mixed in too! 6-8 YEARS Full Privilege: $230/wk. Program: $255/wk. DANCE CAMP AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 7, 8 Campers will learn skills, improve technique and exercise while having fun doing something they love. Jumps, kicks and turns will start out each camper s day! Participants will be introduced to ballet, jazz, hip-hop and more. Activities also include instructional and recreational swimming, group games, arts and crafts, and more. While not required, join both sessions to prepare for a showstopper at the Camp Show. 8-14 YEARS EXPLORE, EXPERIMENT & BUILD AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 5, 9 A multi Science camp full of hands on activities and experiments. Experience the stage and learn the basics of acting while creating a children s play. Campers will explore the qualities of a great actor while utilizing teamwork to put on a show! 7-9 YEARS MAD SCIENTIST CAMP AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 8 Build your brain power while exploring kitchen chemistry, park biology and the earth sciences. Try something new! Learn the basic skills of a top chef while learning to choose and cook healthy options. Campers will learn a specific culinary concept to create some tasty treats. 8-14 YEARS Full Privilege: $230/wk. Program: $255/wk. ONE STEP AT A TIME AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 9 Looking for a way to give back this summer? This is your opportunity to leave your mark on camp, the Y and Mill Grove. Campers will work on service projects throughout the week. Activities also include swimming, arts and crafts, canoing and archery. 11-14 YEARS OUTDOOR LIVING SKILLS AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 1, 4, 7 Hiking, canoing, archery, shelter building, cookouts! SPORTS CAMPS Specialty Sports Camp is designed to teach basic fundamentals and knowledge of individual sports. Athletes will learn through fun instruction and will be taught at a building pace. Each day athletes will participate in game play so they can practice and use the skills they learned. Daily recreational swimming and weekly field trips are included. Participants must wear sneakers. SPORTS CAMP AVAILABLE SESSIONS: 1-10 Specialty Sports Camp is designed to teach boys and girls the basic fundamentals and knowledge of individual sports, fair play and teamwork. Former coaches, high school and college players will lead proper warm-ups, drills and strategy to each skill level group. The Y will provide equipment or campers may bring their own gear. 8-14 YEARS (drop off location) Campers will be bussed to the designated field location for their sport. GENERAL POLICIES AGE PLACEMENT Campers will be placed in their camp groups based on their age at the time of registration by the parent. We do not guarantee changes or transfers of children based on a birthday that occurs during our Summer Camp operational dates. Parents with children that have birthday s falling within our camp program weeks will need to contact the Camp Directors to inform them of this type of request. The Camp Directors will try to accommodate changes based on their discretion and the camper s ability to adjust to the new camp age group. SIBLING DISCOUNT A $5 sibling discount will be applied for second and subsequent children enrolled during the same week. May not be combined with any other discount. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE The Y is accessible to all individuals regardless of age, income or background. The Audubon YMCA counts on the generosity of our members and donors to keep our doors open to whoever needs a place to go to help them be more healthy, confident and connected to our community. Financial Assistance can be used for any Y program or membership. If you need help with payment of any portion of Summer Camp fees, please contact the Welcome Center to request a Financial Assistance application. Financial Assistance is awarded on a first come first serve basis. All applications must be submitted by Monday, June 5, 2017. PARENT HANDBOOK Upon receipt of a completed enrollment form and payment of registration and membership fees, parents will receive a Parent Information Handbook. The handbook contains details about YMCA Summer Camp policies and procedures. Parents must sign and return the Receipt of Parents Handbook form located in the back of the handbook. REFUND/CREDIT POLICY There are no refunds for deposits. Camp cancellations submitted in writing will be issued a refund less that deposit if the request is received prior to June 1, 2017. After June 1, 2017 refunds will be issued in the form of credit towards any YMCA program. No credit will be granted for a cancellation requested less than 2 weeks prior to the start of the camp session. SUPERVISION 1:1 The Audubon YMCA is not able to provide 1:1 supervision of any child in our branch programs. If your child requires 1:1 supervision it will be the parent s responsibility to inform the YMCA and provide that service for their child. TSS POLICY Therapeutic Support Staff (TSS) are permitted to accompany children in our YMCA Summer Camp, Child Care and School-Age programs at the Audubon Y. For more information, please contact the camp director. ADA COMPLIANCE Individuals with disabilities may request a workplace accommodation, a modification to a program, policy or practice, or auxiliary aids or services by contacting a Branch ADA Compliance Officer or the Association Office ADA Compliance Officer. Individuals with disabilities also have the option of contacting the Branch Program Director in person or by calling the YMCA branch s main telephone number and asking for the Program Director.
