The average fleet is 25years old, and thus Iran Air has recently completed orders with Airbus and Boeing for +300 aircrafts and expecting to order 200 additional before 2025. The largest airport, IKIA Tehran, is currently growing 19.7% annually and has allocated 2.8 billion USD to expand their capacity to 20 mppa in order to support increased activity and allow Iran to once again to develop as a regional and global trade hub.
Dubai & Abu Dhabi May 15-18: May 15-17: Dubai Airport Show The airport show is the best in the region, and was initiated by Dubai chairman H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum. You will here meet decision-makers from the Airport and Airline business from all of UAE as well as the Middle East, Africa, and South-East Asia (see appendix 1 attached). Danish participants have previously had very good success in using the show to position themselves and ultimately close deals. The purchasers are from both the Airport and Airline business despite the title. The carrier has 40,000 employees and a fleet of 170 aircrafts. In Kuwait heavy investments have been made in Kuwait Airways to diversify the economy from the slump oil revenues. The carrier has 33 aircrafts, and is quickly expanding to Europe, Turkey and Asia Qatar s Hamad International Airport (HIA) is a new and modern airport recently completed. Already in 2016 an expansion project for 8.8 billion USD was awarded The Kuwaiti Government is building a new airport for 4.3 billion USD (tender Nov 2016) to be completed in 2022 to expand from 6 to 25 mppa. Further, the current terminal is carrying out a 6 billion USD expansion project expected to be completed 2020

Invitees from Aviation related organizations in KSA Time for individual meetings (can be arranged by the Trade Council) Reception at Ambassadors residence Saudia Airways, the Saudi Arabian flagship carrier, has since 2003 had an annual average growth of 8.2% and hit 80 mppa in 2015. Due to slump oil prices, the future of Saudi Arabian economy highly depends on this growth, and significant resources has been allocated to grow the airline business. This includes creating a trade hub, creating a transfer hub, growing Hajj visitors and even conventional tourism. The in Jeddah and Riyadh shall support the growth in the airline business. In Jeddah, the new 7 billion USD King Abdulaziz International Airport (KAIA) will be finished in 2017 and is part of the new Economic City. Phase II-III will expand the airport to 80mppa towards 2025 and 2035 In Riyadh the King Khalid International Airport is both carrying out an expansion with T6 to 35mppa as well as building a 4 billion USD New Airport for 15mppa.
