October 21 st, 2012, Sunday, Dave Sanders has organized the Indy Mopar Club Fall Cruise. Weather forecast is great, enjoy the day by getting the cars out before the weather turns. Meet at Steak and Shake at Southport Road and State Road 37 South on the south side of Indy. If interested in breakfast, arrive around 9. Depart no later than 10am. From there the cruise follow scenic roads across Ind. 44, Ind. 252 and State Road 9. with Indiana Grand Casino as the end point, it is just west of Shelbyville. The facility has a few dining options: steakhouse or market buffet. Note that smoking is allowed on the gaming floor. Thanks to Dave for putting this together. Each member should bring your own drinks, a covered dish (preferably filled), or dessert, and chairs. RSVP to Dave at indymoparclub@indymoparclub.com or call Dave at 317-696-6071. This is always a fun filled time. There s lots of good fellowship and chit-chat. And, if you haven t been there before, you ll get a gander at Tom s great garage and (partial) menagerie of cars. JDRF Walk From Brian Berkowitz: I just want to thank all the club members that participated in the walk on Oct. 6. We had a good turnout considering the wet and cold weather. We had 8 cars on hand and several of us participated in the walk. This is Hayden, he is the son of a former co-worker of Brian Berkowitz. He has Type 1 Diabetes and is three years old. On a daily basis he gets his blood checked 10-20 times and 4-6 shots depending on his activity level. He asked to sit in my car and after that he wanted to sit in Dennis Cherry's Challenger and Steve Wisdom's Road Runner. His Mother told me that this made his day and his Mother wanted to thank us for letting him sit in our cars. Sometimes it is more than money that we raise for our charity that makes a difference to a little guy! IMC October 2012 Page 1

Tattler s Corner Well, some people just don t know where they are going. Jan Peel flew to San Francisco last month and much to her surprise (and dismay) the route to Boulder Creek was to the south not north as expected. So much for her geography lesson. She ll have to bone up on that. Hope she does better in Indiana. I would appreciate any news about our members that have attended other events and/or have had their cars or stories in other publications. This is your newsletter, help me make it an even better one by sharing this kind of information so it can be published here. You can contact me by E-mail Jpeel83719@aol.com or call me at 317-357-5760 or send it to me by mail: Jan Peel, 5128 E Rowney St, Indianapolis IN 46203-3741. (Complaints may also be handled this way.
