FAMILY IN CRISIS Today s Gospel gives us the only real glimpse we have into the life of the Holy Family during the childhood of Jesus. Here we see a family in crisis. A son is lost and frantic parents search and search until they finally find him. We hear these words from the mother of Jesus: Son, why have you done this to us? Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety (Luke 2:48). We can only imagine the distress felt by Mary and Joseph. Their love for their son brought them to their wits end. Holy Family of Jesus, Mary & Joseph DECEMBER 27, 2009 FORMATION TOWARD CHRISTIAN MINISTRY - Registration has begun for next semester. Courses will include Christology, Prayer & Spirituality, Church History, and Church Doctrine. FTCM offers theological content courses taught by instructors with Masters or Doctoral degrees. FTCM is for Catholic adults who seek greater understanding of Church teachings, or who are engaged in ministry or discerning their call to ministry. You may attend all or part of these sessions. Please see the green brochure in the vestibule for tuition and other information. CCE HOLIDAYS - Classes resume on Sunday, January 10, 2010. Are you NEW to Corpus Christi Parish? Families moving in are welcome to come to the office to sign up your children, ages 4 years old (pre-k) through high school for religious education classes. Children's Liturgy of the Word resumes on January 10. We are grateful for the kind assistance and fine leadership given to this ministry by our parents and teens. CLW is a celebration of the Liturgy of the Word (Scriptures of the day) at the 9:00 Mass in a manner that engages young children. They process out to the cafeteria after Mass begins and return during the Preparation of Gifts. Please contact CLW Director, Angela Roth, to see how you might help in 2010: 713-432-0069. INFANT BAPTISM classes are scheduled for January 11 and 25. Parents, please call the office to register for these two classes. Baptism will be celebrated at 11:00 Sunday, February 14.
