Participating Municipalities: PANČEVO: The most important economic branches in municipality are crude oil processing, production of plastic masses (HIP Petrochemical Complex), fertilizers (Nitrogen Plant), textile and fashion industry and agriculture. ČAČAK: The structure of the economy of the municipality of Čačak is composed of agriculture, industry, trade and services. NOVI SAD: Novi Sad is the economic centre of Vojvodina, the most fertile agricultural region in Serbia. The city also is one of the largest economic and cultural centres in Serbia and former Yugoslavia.

Follow-up Pančevo I. Today, two and half years after the end of the project, the companies have averagely implemented 50% of proposed options, while some companies are developing and implementing new cleaner production options. Out of the total number of 86 options proposed in all companies, more than 40 were implemented, while 20 options are in the implementation stage. The invested funds were usually returned within one year. The largest investments were in Petrohemija, with more than 9 million, while other companies invested around 200,000.
