The Railway Ministry on 22 April 2015 has launched a mobile application named 'utsonmobile', for paperless unreserved tickets. This mobile application plans to work towards eliminating the need for printing of unreserved tickets. The initial trial of the project has been launched at 15 stations between Egmore and Tambram of Chennai of the Southern Railway. ISO 9001:2008 certification received by Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) got the ISO 9001:2008 certification from the British Standards Institute (BSI) on 22 April 2015.
