THRILL OF SPEED 2h husky safari The friendly barks of the huskies welcome you to the local farm but as soon as the safari of dogs departs from the farm, the dogs quiet down and start to work. Enjoy the surrounding nature and the sledge ride in silence. Stop for a break in the wilderness and take photos. We drive two persons per team, but there is a possibility to change the driver along the way. The average length of the trail is 12-17 km, but the weather conditions and the skills of the participants may affect the length of the ride. Our location on the Arctic Circle gives us the best possibilities to try and see them. General instructions: These terms apply to individual travelers on weekly safaris of Safartica Ltd. Winter weekly safaris start to operate in November (weather permitting) and are set to continue to April (weather permitting). Minimum participant amount is 2 adults. The content is set out in the program descriptions for each weekly program service. Prices include guide services and V.A.T., thermal clothing for all safaris as well as the appropriate licenses, insurance and fuel. Personal travel insurance is always recommended when traveling abroad. All safaris include guiding in English. Booking is considered as confirmed when payment has arrived. Payment options are presented during the booking process. Time and place for meeting point are confirmed upon the reservation. Pick up and return transfers are included for those staying outside the city within 10 km from safari house. All safaris start from our city office as informed in the programs. In order to respect each client s quality experience with us, we kindly ask you to be on time at the meeting point. Missed meeting time will result in missed safari which will not be refunded. Information required for booking: full name, number of participants, ages of children, nationality, mobile phone number with country code and accommodation name, special diets/allergies, possible illnesses and pregnancy. Each person driving a snowmobile must be 18 years of age and must hold a valid driving license. Snowmobile is shared by two drivers who take turns in driving. Supplement for driving the snowmobile alone is indicated in the description of the safari. Snowmobile driver is held liable for any damages caused to the vehicle. Personal liability is max 900 /driver/snowmobile/case of accident. We offer 15 /person extra for self-liability insurance. Normal self-liability 900 /person/accident. With this insurance selfliability reduces to 150 /person/accident. Children are seated in a sledge pulled by the guide snowmobile. If a child over 140 cm wishes to sit on the snowmobile as a passenger, a full adult price will be charged (according to snowmobile availability). In case extreme temperature (more than -20 C or other extreme weather conditions) Safartica keeps the right to transfer children by car to the locations. Children between 4-14 years receive a 50 % discount of the prices except when otherwise stated. Children 0-3 years old are free of charge. For floating programs the minimum height is 120 cm. Information concerning time spent on the sled on husky programs are given for information purpose only and can t be considered contractual. Time spend on the sled may vary according to snow and ice condition, weather condition and aptitude of the participants and dogs. The Auroras are an unpredictable natural phenomenon, our safaris and activities in evening are made to give you the chance to observe them, but we cannot guarantee that they will appear. The activity experience remains the main idea and aurora is an added value to it. As the responsible organizer of all safaris, Safartica reserves the right to possible price changes, duration and ways of transportation without prior notification. This also applies to cases in which the weather conditions are disadvantageous. In Rovaniemi the safaris can also be booked privately on request (subject to availability) for the minimum charge of 8 full paying adults. All safaris need to be paid 24h before the safari departure. In case of lower pre-payment amounts the rest of the total amount is to be paid 24h before the departure of the safari by cash or credit card. All changes and cancellations need to be made either by e-mail or phone within the Safartica office hours (9-17, GMT +2) no later than one day before the safari date (24 h). In case of cancellation Safartica charges office fee 15 EUR. Less than 24 h prior to arrival - 100% from the total amount to be charged. 1st deposit is non-refundable if applicable due to previous pre-payment agreements. Reservation will be fully refunded in case of illness. A medical certificate needs to be sent to Safartica within two working days from the cancellation date.
