John Russano - President (352) 799-0021 Richard Ormsby Vice -President (813) 633-6171 September Rally was held at from the 25th to the 27th Early Birds on the 24th. We had 11 rigs and 3 drive-ins ( Limas, Johnsons & Voyton) WECOME BACK the fun begins The summer is over and most of our members have returned home from their summer travels. Our Host and Hostess for the week-end was Mike & Liz Abrams. They greeted us as we arrived and directed us to our designated sites. While there was no activities scheduled for Thursday we spent a good part of the day exchanging stories of our summer travels until it was time to head to Cody s Restaurant, a favorite among all of us. Mike Lima - Secretary (813) 264-7010 Myron Magedanz - Treasurer (813) 685-5966 Fall Rally Southern Palms RV Resort in Eustis November 18-22, 2015 Early Bird November 17th Contest: Decorations & Craft 2015 Theme Memories of Christmas Past Special Events: 50th WeddingAnniversary Celebration, and the Memorial Ceremony Winter Rally North Florida Fairgrounds Tallahassee, Florida February 3rd - 7th, 2016 Early Bird February 2nd Spring Samboree Okeechobee KOA in Okeechobee April 15 - April 19, 2015 Early bird April 14th Theme-MADD HATTERS Contest: Madd Hatters TBS Campout October 23rd - 25th Early Birds 22nd Blueberry Hill RV Resort 6233 Lowery St. Bushnell, Fl. 33513 (352) 793-4112 Hosts: Myron & Judy Magedanz

Mike and Liz got us all up early Friday morning and we all headed out to Mobley Road which is our Adopted Road for clean up. This year there was 14 hardy souls who took on the task of picking up other peoples' nasty habit of throwing trash as they drive down the highway. Twice each year we spend between 70 and 80 man hours doing our good deed. As we get older it appears the enthusiasm for this project is dwindling however in addition to this being one of our designated projects, what we all look forward to is going to Chili s for some good food, favorite beverages, dessert and most importantly good fellowship. In this world It is not what we take up A Certificate of Recognition for 5 years of service to keep Tampa Bay Beautiful was awarded to Trail Blazing Sams. Our President John Russano presented it to Liz Abrams who is the coordinator for that project. Congrats Liz for a job well done. But what we give up That makes us rich Henry Ward Beecher TBS Page 2

Around 4 PM it was time for Happy Hour. Heavy hors d oeuvres were brought in by everybody and we just continued hearing more summer adventures Later Mike and Liz introduced us to a game called, for the lack of a better name, left, right and center, a very interesting game of chance. The price of entering this game was $3.00. Each player rolled three dice, each dice was marked L, R, and C. When you rolled the dice if a L came up you gave a dollar to the player on your left, if a R the player on your right got the dollar. However if a C came up you put a dollar in the bowl never to be returned to you. Round and round it goes until you have no money left. The one left with any money wins the pot. Joan Conway survived and walked away with everyone s loot. A game that kept everyone interested until the end. Then we all booed and hissed, all in fun of course. L-R: Liz Abrams, Albert Morneault, Myron Magedanz, Mike Lima, Serge Frechette John Perry Joan Russano, Mary Murray, John Russano, Judy Magedanz L-R: Liz Abrams, Bill Conway, Albert Morneault, Myron Magedanz, Mike Lima, Serge Frechette, John Perry Joan Conway Saturday was a day of some outdoor games but not as many as we normally have. Around mid morning we had a very nice surprise visit when Serge brought his wife Lynn over to see us. We were all so glad to spend some time with her. Lynn has been very sick and is undergoing treatment for liver cancer. Some good news to pass on is that according to the latest report the lesions are getting smaller. We all pray for her and wish her continued improvement. Joan Conway presented her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. Liz had everybody sign a very nice get well card. Lynn & Serge Frechette TBS Page 3

Our business meeting was held at 3:00 PM due to a scheduling conflict in the clubhouse. No big deal it just meant that we went from our meeting to Happy Hour. Our President exempted us from the normal uniform of the day requirement which made everybody happy. Several subjects were discussed. The most important had to do with our declining membership. As we age sickness and disability makes it more difficult to support our commitment to the activities we ve undertaken, mainly supporting our involvement in the State Samborees. Recently we lost two members and we know we will be losing a couple more before much longer. Unfortunately without new, younger members to fortify our ranks and take an active part in continuing our involvement in Samborees we will have to seriously look at just how much our Chapter will be able to commit to. We all hope we will gain new blood so that the tradition of Trail Blazing Sams as a leader can continue. We seem to be okay for the fall Samboree at Eustis but beyond that its just to early to tell. After the meeting it was Happy Hour and dinner time. Mike and Liz hired a caterer who prepared a wonderful dinner called Tampa Cuban Cuisine. This meal consisted of yellow rice, black beans, pulled chicken (my favorite) and a pork dish called, pulled marinated pork mojo, ( I hope I got that right), tossed salad, rolls and a wonderful rice pudding dessert. A very wonderful dinner choice which Liz came across while attending a house party. We have to encourage Liz and Mike to go to more parties. Maybe we can get them to do another meal for us soon. Mike & Liz Abrams Sunday morning arrived and we were all treated to fresh donuts and coffee. After saying our goodbyes everyone headed to their units to pack up and hit the road. Let s not forget Lynn Frechette and Cerese Henning that still need our thoughts and prayers. May each day bring both closer to a full recovery.
