A Bi-Monthly Publication of Waterset Homeowners Association January l February 2019 Thank You,Residents! Here at Waterset, we love to give back - and we couldn t do it without the help of our amazing residents! This year, our Concerts for a Cause series raised over 16,000 meals for Feeding Tampa Bay! Your donations go directly to an Apollo Beach food bank and help feed the hungry in our community. Thank you for your support of the Concerts! If you re going out of town this winter or spring, keep in mind these tips. Put your mail delivery on hold at the Post Office, so your box isn t overflowing when you get back! Ask a neighbor to keep an eye on your home and to pick up your newspaper for you. Accumulating newspapers are a sign of an empty home. Make a packing checklist so you don t forget a thing! If you re driving, make sure to do a full work-up on your car check the tires, oil, and fluids. Turn off the water to avoid plumbing problems while you re gone. Unplug small appliances, power strips, computers, and TVs to conserve energy. Arrange for pet care early! Locations may fill up due to spring break demand. From the CommunityDirector s Desk Hopefully everyone had a wonderful holiday season and the New Year is off to a terrific start. As this is the first newsletter of the year, I want to share some news, notes and reminders with Owners and Residents of the Waterset community. Staffing News: We had some staffing changes to finish 2018, so you may have noticed a few new faces. Scott was promoted from Pool Monitor to Grounds and took over the daily maintenance responsibilities beginning December 1st. Scott has been doing an excellent job and hopefully you have noticed a difference in the common areas. Ann joined the Administrative staff at Resident Services after serving as a Pool Monitor this past summer. She has been busy the last few weeks learning her new responsibilities and fielding resident phone calls. Please also join me in welcoming new Café team member Amanda, who started with us in early December. In other staffing news, I am sad to report that Chef Joe and Katelyn of the Waterset Café have accepted positions outside of Waterset and will be departing during the month of January. On behalf of the staff and residents, I would like to thank them both for their hard work and service to the community. We wish them much success in their new positions. Reminders: HOA Assessment Coupons and Payments: Coupons and Statements for your 2019 Waterset HOA fees, not to be confused with your CDD fees which are paid through the tax rolls, were mailed in late December 2018. If you have not received your coupons or a statement from the HOA, please visit http://watersetonline.com/ to check on your account and make payment online. Note: If you set up automatic bill pay (ACH) through the Waterset HOA after January 1st, the bill pay will not be active until February. This means that you will still need to make a manual payment for your annual and/or monthly dues for January until the ACH is active. If you have questions, please contact a member of the Resident Services team at (813) 677-2114 and we will be happy to assist you. Architectural Review: Any exterior modifications need to be reviewed and approved by the Waterset Homeowners Association prior to the start of any work. The most current forms for this process can be found at http://watersetonline.com/. Community Notes: Fenced Commercial Areas: We have noted residents using the wood fenced in areas adjacent to the Waterset Club and the Landing for activities. Note that these areas are not common areas to be utilized by residents. They are commercial properties owned by Newland Communities. We ask that residents and their guests please refrain from entering or utilizing these areas. Boats, Trailers & Commercials Vehicles: As a reminder, boats, trailers and commercials vehicles may not be stored on either residential or CDD property. Please refer to the Waterset Charter, available online at http://watersetonline.com/, for the guidelines on this topic and other community specific rules.
