Upon arrival at the Zagreb airport you will be met in the arrivals hall by your private driver and transferred to your historic Art Deco hotel, set within a gracious building dating back to 1925. Tonight everyone is invited to a Welcome Dinner at our hotel! Croatia s capital Zagreb is a cosmopolitan city distinguished by its 18th and 19th century Austro-Hungarian architecture. This morning, take a panoramic tour of the Croatian capital alongside your guide before stopping for lunch in a local haunt. Visit the loveliest parts of Zagreb, including St. Marc Square, which divides the old and new regions of the city. Ride a funicular built in 1889 to reach the charming Upper Town quarter from Lower Town. Visit the Ban Jelačić Square, which divides the old and new regions of the city. In the afternoon head out into the country into the Croatian Highlands. Your tour includes the splendid park and grounds of Trakoscan Castle. Tthe 13 th -century Trakoscan Castle offers stunning views of the nearby lake. The castle boasts original furnishings, a fascinating ethnographic collection and romantic gardens. Depart Hvar by public ferry to the mainland and then head south to Dubrovnik. Nicknamed the Pearl of the Adriatic, it is among the best preserved medieval walled cities in the world. As you travel along the coast, stop in the fishing town of Ston on the Pelješac Peninsula. Historic Ston has beautiful examples of medieval architecture and fortified walls, as well as numerous monuments. The town is also known for its oysters and salt works. Revel in a private oyster fishing demonstration followed by lunch in a typical Dalmatian restaurant, where you can sample the famous molusks.
