MAPLE CITY WINGS GWRRA Region D Michigan Chapter W ADRIAN, MICHIGAN Bob & Marcia Kinsey We want to remind everyone about our new location for our gatherings it is located in the old American Legion building located on W. Maple the parking area is located behind the building off River St. The day and times have not changed second Sunday of the month and 8:30 am for ticket sales, socializing, coffee and doughnuts. Gathering will begin at 9:00 am. We think everyone will enjoy the extra room we have there. The Family Kitchen was very nice to allow us to have our gatherings there for the past few months and we want to continue to support them by having a dinner ride or a breakfast after our gatherings occasionally. Well another Toy Run has passed and we want to thank everyone who stepped up to help. Scott and Sherri have done such a good job for the last 4 years but they Chapter W! 2012 Michigan Chapter of the Year! Monthly Gatherings Join us at our next monthly gathering at Spirited Art! Spirited Art is located at: 543 W. Maple Ave. Adrian, MI (Enter lot off of River St.) Our Monthly Gathering is held the 2nd Sunday of the Month. 8:30am for social time, coffee & doughnuts. Come and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow GWRRA Members and our Chapter W Family! Our next Gathering is October 11th with a Ride After Gold Wing Road Riders Association Friends for Fun, Safety and Knowledge! are ready to step back and let someone else take over. We always have good participation from all our chapter members so the biggest part of organizing the event is the route and now we have to secure a location for next year, so if you have any ideas please let us know. If anyone would like to consider being next year s Toy Run Coordinator let us know we will help in any way we can. This summer has just flown by I can t believe that fall is upon us already but to tell the truth I prefer the fall just wish it lasted longer. The fall colors here in Michigan are so beautiful and the crisp air is perfect for a bike riding. Dick and Karen have led a color ride for several years and I m sure the ride they have planned for this year will be a beautiful ride. Ken has all the dates and times on our calendar so check it out and plan to ride. We also want to thank everyone that has taken a Month for dinner rides this year we have been able to go to a few new places and that is always fun. If you know of a good restaurant and think it would be a good place for a Wed. night ride let us know we are always looking for something new. The time is approaching to decide who will be honored as our Couple of The Year, if you have any suggestions please let us know we want your suggestions. Also tell us why you think they should be considered as C.O.Y. 2016. Bob & Marcia Kinsey, Chapter W CD s & Michigan District Couple of the Year 2015 Page 1

Submitted by Ken Kintner Season is winding down... But WAIT! There is still time for a few great rides including the color ride after the October gathering. So don t think about putting the bike to bed for the winter just yet. We had a great time at the Michigan Rally in Evart that started with a dinner ride to a place in the middle of nowhere it seemed. With great food and they somehow got us all in and out in a very reasonable time. They had all you can eat fish that was served up family style. The coleslaw was great too. With the great weather we had all the guided rides were well attended. It was great to see chapter W well represented as we watched Bob & Marcia receive a clock and a thank you for being our great District Couple of the Year for 2015. Chapter C has changed their meeting time to the 1st Tuesday of the month at The Little Brown Jug located at 7697 Blue Bush Road Maybee, MI They meet for dinner at 6:30pm and the meeting is at 7:30. Chapter W is changing the location of our monthly gathering. Starting in October we will meet at a hall located at Spirited Art 543 W. Maple Ave. (Parking Lot entrance is off of River Street) There is a map link on the district and chapter website. Don t miss the October gathering to checkout this new space. Coffee & Doughnuts starting at 8:30am & Meeting at 9am. Hopefully we will have great weather for a color ride after the gathering lead by Dick & Karen Papworth. Hope to see you all soon!
