CHAPTER # 11 SUMMER 2017 NEWSLETTER A NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT What a great summer we are having so far in Michigan. It s hard to believe that it s already July. A wise man once told me, once the 4 th of July is over, summer goes quick. Although plow day got rained out back in April, we still had our meeting and had a great lunch. Thanks goes out to the Graftema family for your hospitality. Red Power Round Up was held in Des Moines, Iowa back in June. Wow!!! They had over 1000 tractors. Awesome job, thanks for a great show Iowa Chapter # 5. I am looking forward to our state show that will be held the 3 rd weekend in August. Northwest Michigan Engine & Threshers Club will be hosting us during their 50 th Anniversary in Buckley. Our 4 th quarter meeting will be held at Louis & Linda Weherman s place on Saturday, September 23, 2017. Please come and check out their great collection. We will also be voting on the location to hold our 2019 state show. I hope to see you all in Buckley. Forever Red, Randy

SECRETARY S REPORT IH Chapter 11 Spring Quarterly Membership Meeting April 22, 2017 Meeting called to order by Randy M. at 1:15 PM with 37 members in attendance Pledge of Allegiance was recited with a few moments of silence after for deceased members Randy apologized for the cancelled plow day due to the severe amount of rain in the area. He thanked Pam and Scott for hosting the meeting with the nice weather and a tasty meal The minutes for the meeting January 14, 2017 were given by Gary Wagner and were accepted The Treasurer s report by Pam Graftema was accepted. Old Business Carleen M Please pay club membership dues; list not up to date as she is still receiving dues. She has to know if you move or your phone number changes. Felix has some new signs available and displayed some Next membership meeting will be in Buckley at 11:00 AM on Saturday at the Buckley Show as they have a parade at 1:00 PM The Banquet will be Saturday @ 6:30 PM at the Buckley High School, the cost is your expense Buckley will have plowing every day @ 11 AM We will need help with the parts coral as Jan & Ron Wallace will not be there The FFA donation for 2016 went to Nashville arranged by Dick Olcott, we have a couple possibilities for 2017 The pedal tractor raffle will only be on Saturday with the drawing at the dinner, not have to be present to win We need a place for the winter meeting in January 2018, looking at Mount Pleasant area New Business Possibilities for show in 2019, Escanaba, Fruitport, Adrian, and Waloon Lake, Gary W has contacted them with no response yet. Their presentation will be at Louie Wehrman s at the Fall Meeting and the voting for selection will be at the meeting. In the future the presentations and voting will be at our annual Fall Meeting. Randy ask if there is any interest in doing a Club Calendar, Tom Anderson to investigate it. Summer Show and meeting @ St. Claire Farm Museum in Goodles, MI, August 2018 and we are doing the dinner cruise for the Club Annual Show Dinner more details to come.
