We re really proud of the history. The Bunker used to be packed to the rafters with thousands of Littlewoods Pools coupons a former gold mine! 1923 1938 1945 1950 1960 2003 2014 John Moore sets up Littlewoods Pools which was based on a game he and two mates used to play. Littlewoods Pools become massive! So much so John needs a huge workforce to process all the coupons so he builds Littlewoods a ginormous human computer building employing 2,000 people. As one of the biggest buildings in the north west Littlewoods was used during WWII to help assemble figure plane wings and parachutes. With the huge database of customers John expands into homewares and clothing. Catalogue business is booming and the Bunker is built for extra space. Littlewoods move out and the building sits empty for decades Capital & Centric come up with a plan to bring back to life Liverpool s most iconic building Bunker is the first phase
