They took the female to a store in Taylor to buy her clothes and makeup. They brought her back to a hotel in Southfield so she could shower. At approx. 6:30am everyone fell asleep. At 12:00pm, victim woke up and noticed the female, his vehicle keys, and the vehicle were gone. SUSPECT INFORMATION: W/F, approximately 29 years of age, long red hair, green eyes, 5'5", 100lbs, very thin build. Missing some teeth. Unknown tattoos on the underside of each wrist. There was a hole drilled under the passenger side door lock and the ignition was damaged. No suspect information.

12/13/2018 12:22pm 28000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Car Dealership) 2018 Dodge Challenger Suspect Fraudulently purchased a 2018 Dodge Challenger from Southfield Jeep. Suspect was arrested for Fleeing & Eluding in another separate incident. No further details about Fraud. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. 12/14/2018 9:57am 24000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Car Rental) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer HYUNDAI Model ELANTRA Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 2018 Body Style State MI License Year 2019 Description White Hyundai Elantra Suspect rented vehicle from November 15-18, 2018. The suspect hasn t returned the vehicle and attempts to contact lessee have proved negative. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. 12/14/2018 12:42pm 24000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Car Leasing) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Nissan Model Sentra Color GRY - Gray Vehicle Year Body Style 4D - 4 Door Description Nissan Suspect rented vehicle from September 15-19, 2018. The suspect hasn t returned the vehicle and attempts to contact lessee have proved negative. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. (Commercial- Discount Store) Black Back-pack with numerous items was taken. Victim states sometime between 10:30am- 1:45pm someone entered his vehicle and went through the center console and the glovebox. Victim states his backpack containing numerous items was taken from the vehicle. From: 12/10/2018 6:00pm To: 12/11/2018 7:00am 16000 North Park Dr. (Residential- Apartments) Status S - Stolen Description Car Radio was stolen from Honda Accord. Victim states sometime between 6:00pm and the following morning at 7:00am someone broke out window on victims Honda Accord and took the In-Dash Radio. From: 12/15/2018 1:30am To: 12/15/2018 3:00pm 27000 Shagbark Dr. Michael Kors Wristlet containing Credit Cards and ID were taken from 2015 Kia Optima. Victim states her wallet was stolen out of her boyfriend s car sometime between 1:30am- 3:00pm. No suspect information.

From: 12/10/2018 10:42am To: 12/10/2018 7:00pm 20000 Harbor Ln. 2- Packages from Amazon were taken. On 12/10/2018 at 10:42am victim received a text message from Amazon confirming the delivery of package. Victim arrived home at approx. 7:00pm and the packages were not there. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens who have packages delivered to their homes should try to be home when the package is delivered. Citizens can also schedule the package to be picked up at the Common Carrier Distribution Center location. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 12/10/2018 6:59pm 24500 W Twelve Mile (Commercial- Cell Phone) Three Samsung phones Three Apple I Pads Four Apple I phones These were all display items and not offered for sale. R/P stated that three B/M's wearing dark clothing and hoods entered the store and stole ten display phones. R/P stated that the males left the store and entered an older model Chevy Impala gray in color and left W/B on Twelve Mile. From: 12/11/2018 6:45pm To: 12/11/2018 7:15pm 28000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial Grocery/ Discount Store) Numerous items were taken from victims 2016 Buick Encore. Victim reports she parked her 2016 Gray Buick Encore on 12/11/2018 between 6:30pm and 6:45pm hours at business in the 28000 Block of Telegraph Rd. When she returned to her vehicle approx. 30 minutes later, items were missing from inside. She was not sure if there was damage to her vehicle.

12/13/2018 9:38pm 26000 W Twelve Mile (Residential- Apartments) Black Kenneth Cole Duffel Bag was in the trunk and contained victims wallet with his Driver's License, CPL, Social Security Card, as well as a shopping bag from LEVI with merchandise. Victim states he got into a verbal disagreement this evening with his girlfriend while she was driving him back to his apartment in Southfield. When they arrived at his apartment complex, he got out of the vehicle to retrieve his bag from the trunk of the vehicle. Before he could reach the trunk, his girlfriend sped off with his belongings inside of her car. His girlfriend later told him she was going to throw all his belongings out and he would never see them again. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. From: 12/11/2018 2:30pm To: 12/11/2018 3:30pm 27000 Franklin Rd. (Residential- Apartments) Several items of jewelry were taken. Victim states on 12/11/2018 around 2:30pm she left her apartment. Victim returned home at 3:30pm and noticed that she was missing jewelry from her jewelry box. Victim states there were workers, 2- W/F s and 1- W/M who were checking for bed bugs in the building on behalf of Complex. Victim suspects these workers. Nothing further at this time.

(Commercial- Discount Store) Stolen Items: -Wallet containing: - Michigan driver s license - Social security card - AARP card - Blue Cross insurance documents - 3- Credit Cards Victim states she was inside business in the 26000 Block of Greenfield Rd. After shopping, when it came time to pay for her items, victim observed that she no longer had her wallet. Victim believes the customer in line behind her stole the wallet from her purse. Suspect Description: - B/F - 30-35 years old. - Medium brown complexion. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens who carry their purses over their shoulders or in a shopping cart should be sure to have the purse zippered always. It only takes a second for someone to reach into your purse and take your wallet or anything else of value. I would not recommend that citizens keep their purses in a shopping cart. Be on the Look Out Highlights: Bomb Threat 12/13/2018 2:12pm 20000 Block of Town Center Officers were dispatched to Office Complex for a Bomb Threat that was received via an e-mail. Numerous locations throughout the Metro Detroit area received the same e-mail. Two employees from company received an e-mail of a Bomb Threat. It is believed that the emails are some type of Global Scam. Status- Unfounded. Special Attention: Fleeing & Eluding 12 Mile Rd. & Franklin Rd. 12/11/2018 4:25pm On 12/10/2018 at approx. 4:08pm, Officer was on patrol at Apartment Complex in the 12 Mile & Franklin Rd. area to search for a Maroon /Burgundy 2018 Dodge Challenger that was a known felony vehicle. The registered owner, who has 2 confirmed Southfield Warrants for Domestic Violence and Disorderly Conduct. The vehicle was known for fleeing and eluding police, and was known to frequent this Apartment Complex. Officer located suspect and suspect vehicle at the leasing office in the complex. Suspect got into his Maroon/ Burgundy Dodge Challenger. Officer activated his overhead lights and suspect immediately fled from Officer. Officer pursued suspect vehicle to the area of S/B Northwestern n/of Lahser Rd. where the pursuit was terminated. Officer positively identified the driver as the suspect who has 2- Southfield Warrants. (See incident below for arrest relating to this incident.) Retail Fraud- 1- Arrest 12/11/2018 7:30pm 30000 Block of Southfield (Commercial- Retail) Officers responded to Retail Fraud in progress. The suspect fled the store and was leaving in a Red Buick Regal. Officers located the suspect vehicle on the south side of business. The vehicle was stopped by Officers. Investigation revealed that besides todays Retail fraud, suspect was responsible for three prior Retail Frauds. The suspect was taken into custody for Retail Fraud. Reckless Driving/ DWLS/ MisRep & Numerous Warrants- 2- Arrests 12/12/2018 12:40am Officers stopped vehicle for Reckless Driving. The driver was arrested for Reckless Driving, Driving While License Suspended and numerous warrants. The passenger was arrested after trying to conceal his identity. Both subjects were lodged in the Southfield Jail.

Fleeing & Eluding Investigation/ Domestic Assault/ Disorderly Conduct- 1- Arrest 12/12/2018 11:15pm (17000 Block of Maryland) On 12/12/2018 Southfield Officers received information from Southfield Detectives that the suspect in several Fleeing & Eluding s, may be at a residence in Detroit. Officers assisted Detectives on surveillance of the location. Later the same day Officers followed a vehicle to an address in the 17000 Block of Maryland in Southfield. After a short period of time Officers observed a female and two males leave the address and enter a Grey Dodge Dart. Officers followed the vehicle and it was stopped s/b Greenfield s/ of Nine Mile Rd. An inventory of occupants in the vehicle, Officers positively identified suspect that fled from Southfield Officers on 12/10/2018 as the rear seat passenger in the vehicle. He was taken into custody for Fleeing & Eluding and the 2- Outstanding Southfield Warrants for Domestic Assault and Disorderly Conduct. The suspect is also being investigated for several other Fleeing & Eluding s and possibly Fraud regarding the vehicle he was driving. R&O/ 46 th District Warrant- 1- Arrest 12/13/2018 2:41am 27000 Block of Lahser Rd. Officers were dispatched to the 27000 Block of Lahser Rd. on a report of a family trouble. While in route Officers were advised that the female caller had a valid warrant out of Southfield 46 th Dist. Ct. for Retail Fraud III. When Officers arrived, their investigation was complicated by the callers two sons who were not happy with the Police presence and were threatening Officers. After completing their investigation, Officers attempted to take female subject into custody on the 46th District Court Warrant for Retail Fraud III, Subject physically resisted Officers during arrest. She was eventually taken into custody with an additional charge of R&O. MDOP- 1- Arrest 12/12/2018 4:31pm 20000 Block of Eight Mile Rd. Officers were dispatched to the parking lot in the 20000 Block of W 8 Mile Rd on reports of a male kicking and denting his child's mother's car. Investigation revealed that the couple got into a verbal argument and at some point, the male got mad, got out of victim s car, started kicking and punching the car, damaging it in the process. He was taken into custody for MDOP.

Special Attention: Shots Fired 12/13/2018 10:35pm 10 Mile Rd. & Berg Rd. (Apartment Complex) Calls came into Southfield Police Dispatch that there were several gunshots heard in the 10 Mile & Berg Rd. area. An area check produced numerous shell casings on the East side of nearby Apartment Complex with one parked car hit by bullets. There was no evidence of anyone being shot and area hospitals were checked for anyone coming in with gunshot wounds. None were found. A witness from Apartment Complex stated she was just getting home at the time of the incident. Witness observed an Older Model Black Vehicle, possibly a Ford Fusion or Ford Focus, parked along the east side of the complex. Outside of the vehicle, witness observed five younger black males, late teens or early twenties, hanging around the vehicle. One of the males was wearing "all black" and had a "black beanie on". Witness went inside her apartment and a couple minutes later she heard numerous gunshots. Witness went back outside and observed the Black Vehicle leaving the area driving South through the complex. Southfield Police Evidence Technicians made the scene and photographed/collected evidence. OWI- 1- Arrest 12/12/2018 2:05am Northwestern & 9 Mile Rd. Officers were dispatched to a slumped subject at Northwestern & 9 Mile Rd. Officers located vehicle and watched the vehicle as it sat stationary through two light cycles. Officer arrived on scene and pulled his vehicle up to the rear of vehicle. He approached vehicle and could see a female behind the wheel, she was sleeping with her foot on the brake and the vehicle in drive. A second Officer arrived on scene and positioned his police vehicle at the front of suspect s vehicle. Officers knocked on the window and woke the driver up. She was asked to roll down her window. The driver instead started acting like she was dancing? Officers eventually got the driver out of her vehicle and had her perform sobriety tests and she took a Preliminary Breath Test. The driver was taken into custody for OWI.

Special Attention: Larceny of Packages that were ordered and delivered via Common Carrier. How to prevent this from happening to you! Recently several citizens have had packages that were delivered to their residences and apartments stolen prior to them retrieving the packages. Citizens can prevent this from happening by scheduling a specific time to have the package delivered and be waiting for the package. Citizen can also schedule the package to be picked up by themselves at the common carrier facility. Domestic Assault- 1- Arrest 12/14/2018 1:48am 29000 Block of Franklin Hills Rd. (Apartment Complex) Officers were dispatched to the 29000 Block of Franklin Hills for a report of Domestic Assault. Officers investigation revealed that the male half choked his girlfriend during an argument. The female sustained injuries to her neck. The male was arrested. Suspect & Vehicle Description in Recent LFA of Package 12/04/2018 3:35pm 27000 Block of Devonshire St. Victim had a package delivered to her residence by Amazon. It was stolen off her porch on 12/04/2018 at 3:35pm. She has camera footage of the package being taken. She was not home at the time the package was taken. Suspect & Suspect Vehicle Description: B/M, 5'-10-6 -1, medium build, and wearing all black with a white under shirt. He left in what appeared to be a Dark Colored Jeep. Resist & Obstruct/ Fail to Display Valid Operator s License- 1-Arrest. 12/14/2018 11:51am Officers were dispatched to a stalled/blocking semi. The driver refused to cooperate with Officers and refused to produce his Driver s License. The subject was arrested and his driver s license was found on his person. He was lodged at the Southfield Jail. Suspect later told Officers that he didn t produce his license because he was concerned about a Child Support Warrant.

Special Attention: Larceny of Catalytic Converters! Recently we have seen an increase in Larceny of Catalytic Converters. The M.O. in most cases, the suspect(s) will park next to the attacked vehicle and the passenger will exit suspect vehicle with a portable cordless electric saw. Suspect will immediately crawl under the attacked vehicle and cut the catalytic converter off the vehicle, get back into suspect vehicle and flee the area. The suspect vehicle in several of the incidents has been a Mini Van (Chrysler Town & Country) with a sliding side door making it easy to get in and out with the catalytic converter. A recent incident that occurred in the 23000 Block of Greenfield Rd the victim was walking back out to her car and observed a light brown sedan, occupied by three individuals parked next to her vehicle. As she approached her vehicle the suspects fled the area. Victim discovered her catalytic converter had been cut off right after this. Citizens that observe subjects under a vehicle and can hear a power tool should not confront or scare the suspect(s) away. Immediately call 911 and report as much information as possible. Stay on the phone with police dispatch and continue to give updates until the Police arrive on scene. OWI- 1- Arrest 12/14/2018 9:08pm 26000 Block of W. Carnegie Park (Apartment Complex) Officers were dispatched to the 26000 Block of W Carnegie Park Dr, reference a slumped driver. Upon arrival officers found the Silver Trailblazer in between parking lanes. The vehicle was running but was not in motion. Officers approached the vehicle and found a W/M passed out at the wheel. The car was in reverse and the driver's foot was on the brake. Officers attempted multiple times to wake the driver by knocking loudly on the windows, shining flashlights at the driver, shaking the vehicle, and giving the male loud verbal commands. There was no response from the male. A Life Support Unit was summoned to Officers location. Prior to LSU arriving, the driver s wife came out from one of the apartment buildings and told Officers that the subject in vehicle was her husband. She opened vehicle for Officers and the subject was awakened. He was highly intoxicated and had difficulty walking and talking. The subject was transported to the hospital where he later submitted to a blood draw. He was advised that he was under investigation for Possible OWI.

Special Attention: Larceny from Vehicles How to prevent this from happening to you! -Citizens should never leave anything of value inside their vehicle. (Especially Handguns, Purses, Wallets, Cash & Cell Phones!) - If you have a garage you should park your vehicle in the garage and lock the garage. - Wheel Locks are a deterrent but don t leave the wheel lock key in the interior of your vehicle, especially the center console or glove box. This is the first place they will look for the wheel lock. -After parking your vehicle turn your wheels all the way to the right or the left. This will make it difficult to get the lug nuts off the front wheels. -If you don t have a garage, try to park your vehicle as close to your residence as possible. -If you here any loud noises near where your vehicle is parked, especially during the late night or early morning hours, attempt to look outside without alerting anyone and if someone is tampering with your vehicle immediately call 911, (Do Not Approach or Scare the Suspects Away) give Police Dispatchers as much information about the suspect(s) and suspect vehicles as you can. Stay on the phone with Dispatchers until the Police B&E- 1- Arrest 12/15/2018 3:32PM 24000 Block of Telegraph Rd. Officers had received information from a Southfield Police Detective that there was probable cause to arrest parole absconder, for multiple B&E s in Southfield. On 12/15/2018, information was received that the suspect was at Fast Food Business in the 24000 Block of Telegraph Rd. Officers arrived at the location and recognized suspect from numerous previous encounters. He was taken into custody and transported to the Southfield Jail. Suspect also has a criminal bench warrant for Probation Violation out of Oakland County. Suspect was uncooperative during the booking process and refused to provide information. MDOP- 1- Arrest 12/15/2018 1:17pm 26000 Block of Central Park Blvd. Officers were dispatched to the 26000 Block of Central Park Blvd (Hotel) regarding a MDOP. Victim stated that known suspect was upset with him because he was talking to his friend so he went outside and sliced three of his tires on his Hummer H-3. Officers located the suspect and recovered a folding knife on his person in his pocket. The suspect denied cutting the tires. Officers reviewed surveillance video from the complex that confirmed that the suspect cut victim s tires. The suspect was taken into custody for MDOP. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician took photos of the damage to victim s tires.

Investigation revealed that male suspect came home intoxicated and tried to take his girlfriend s cell phone. During the struggle for the cell phone, male suspect choked victim several times causing injury. A Southfield Police Evidence technician took photos of victim s injuries. Male suspect was arrested for Domestic Assault. OWI/ Possession of Firearm While Intoxicated 12/16/2018 3:00am 8 Mile & Lahser Rd. Officer stopped vehicle for speeding and other traffic offenses. The subject appeared to be intoxicated and he was investigated for OWI. The subject was a CPL Holder and was armed. Officers secured subjects handgun and continued their OWI Investigation. The driver was asked to perform several sobriety tests and he took PBT Test. The subject was taken into custody for OWI & being in possession of his firearm while intoxicated. The subject refused Breath Test at station. A search warrant was obtained and a Blood Draw was completed at the hospital.

Domestic Assault/ R&O/ Disorderly- 1- Arrest 12/16/208 3:14am 28000 Block of Franklin River Dr. (Apartment Complex) On 12/16/2018 Officers were dispatched to the 28000 Block of Franklin River Dr. for a possible Domestic Dispute. When Officers arrived on scene and knocked on the apartment door, the female half opened the door, stated help me and ran out of the apartment. The male half attempted to chase after the female and was yelling at her. Officers stopped the male but he continued to resist Officers until they got him handcuffed. Further investigation revealed that male half assaulted female several times because he found text messages on her cell phone that he didn t like. The male subject was taken into custody for Domestic Assault, R&O, Disorderly. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician took photos of victim s injuries.

Domestic Assault/ R&O 12/16/2018 3:52am 26000 Telegraph Rd. (Hotel) On 12/16/2018, Officers were dispatched to the 26000 Block of Telegraph Rd. (Hotel) on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers hotel room where the disturbance was at and knocked on the door several times. Male half answered the door aggressively and began attempting to walk out of the room by pushing against Officers. Officers gave subject commands to stay in the room. Officers had to physically block subject from leaving and pushed him back into the room. Once in the room subject began to take an aggressive stance towards Officers with his hands clenched to his side. Officers were able to calm the subject down and interviewed him. Investigation revealed that the male subject was upset after finding text messages on female s phone that he didn t like. He assaulted the female and she had obvious injuries. Male subject was taken into custody for Domestic Violence & R&O. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician took photos of room and victims injuries.
