But for every Bengali and the inhabitants of Kolkata, it has been thus for innumerable decades. Fabricated by art, culture, and history, beauty runs in Kolkata s lanes. Being a metropolitan city now, pace is its new ornament. A warm and welcoming city, it thrills the outsiders at first and then seems to become a part of their soul. It can thus be said that you may be taken out of Kolkata but Kolkata can t be taken out of you! Day 3 24 Feb Monday Kolkata Day 4 25 Feb Tuesday Kolkata Pasighat (Arunachal Pradesh) This morning after Breakfast, we visit the home of Mother Teresa s Home for the orphans and mentally challenged children. We interact with the house mothers and spend little time with the children. We will have lunch at a local restaurant we explore the river side market and cross the famous Hooghly bridge along with the other commuters. After lunch, we explore the Old town of Howrah. The Howrah Bridge is also thought to be the world s busiest cantilever bridge. It handles about 100,000 vehicles and more than 150,000 pedestrians every day. While the bridge remains one of the key attractions in the city, the Howrah Junction Railway Station at its Howrah end is another site of much historical significance as the country s oldest railway station. At the Kolkata end, the bridge ends right by the stunning and colorful Mallick Ghat flower market, one of the city s most vibrant markets In the evening we go to a local restaurant for dinner Overnight Hotel Peerless Inn or similar B, L, D Today we depart early to the Airport to connect our flight to Dibrugarh (Assam), and continue our drive (4 hours) to Pasighat in Arunachal Pradesh. Day 5 26 Feb Wednesday Pasighat Aalo. After breakfast, we drive in the hills of Arunachal Pradesh to reach the Tribal capital of Arunachal Pradesh, Aalo. On Arrival we check in at the Hotel West or similar The Hotel here is very simple and we will get the best rooms possible. We will provide you clean Bed sheets and Towels for you to use here B, L, D Day 6 27 FEB Thursday Aalo Paya village Day 7 28 Feb Friday Aalo This morning after breakfast, we get transferred to the Jining Village which is 10 miles away. The village is home to 441 people, among them 207 (47%) are male and 234 (53%) are female. 0% of the whole population are from general caste and 100% are schedule tribes. Child (aged under 6 years) population of Jining village is 18%, among them 44% are boys and 56% are girls. There are 81 households in the village and an average 5 persons live in every family. We will introduce you to the village head and have lunch together. Later you will stay in the village with your hosts and stay overnight with them. We have chosen houses where you can be provided simple and clean beds to sleep. We will provide the house with the complete new set of bed linen and towels. There are few students and the village elders who can converse in simple English. You join them in their day today activities and join the family for dinner. B, L, D After breakfast at your respective hosts home, we visit the village school and interact with the children and the teachers from the community. Later, we bid adieu to the village and leave for Aalo town. Lunch at a local restaurant run by a lady enterpreuner Afternoon, time for buying local products in the local market. Day 8 29 Feb Saturday Aalo Pasighat Day 9 01 Mar Sunday Pasighat Dibrugarh (Assam) This morning after breakfast, we drive to Pasighat and Enroute stop to see the longest bamboo bridge. We stop Enroute in a small local restaurant for our lunch Later check in at our Hotel Late afternoon we explore the local market Dinner at Hotel B,L, D Today after breakfast, we get ready and drive towards the mighty Brahmaputra. We will cross over to the southern bank of the river by boat. We hire a local boat to cross and learn about the mightiness of this river. After we cross over we continue to drive to reach the Tea capital of India, Dibrugarh. Dibrugarh is an industrial city surrounded by sprawling tea estates in Assam, northeast India. It lies on the southern bank of Brahmaputra River. Northeast of the city, Dibru Saikhowa National Park is an island reserve that attracts many migratory birds. Day10 02 Mar Monday Dibrugarh Today, after breakfast we go to explore the tea plantations of Assam. We also learn about the tea pluckers and other workers in the tea processing unit. Later we have an opportunity to buy some tea to take it with us. We will have our lunch today at the Tea plantation and later in the afternoon we will explore the local market and dinner in the local restaurant. B, L, D Hotel Natraj or similar

Day 11 03 Mar Tuesday Dibrugarh Mon (Nagaland) Day 12 04 Mar Wednesday Longwa Chui In the morning after breakfast, we depart to Mon district in the state of Nagaland. We drive through some of the most beautiful Tea plantations and reach Mon, where the Konyak tribals live. Situated at an altitude of 897.64 meters it is the land of the Konyaks (One of the fiercest tribes in the world). Even though there is a legal administrative system, but actually it is ruled by tribal chiefs called Anghs (locally known as Wang meaning the beginning of everything). Mon is the only district in Nagaland to have this unique institution of Anghship. The word of his is law in these parts. His succession is hereditary in nature. The Konyaks believe that they were direct descendants of Noah, for they have Biblical names like Mosa, Kaisa, Aron and so on. The Konyaks are famous for their tattooed faces, blackened teeth and barbaric practice of Headhunting Enroute, we stop at a small village for local lunch. We arrive and check in to our Home stay. The home is led by the grand Mother and helped by her son and granddaughters. The son and the granddaughters converse in simple English. We will be exploring Mon form here. B, L, D After having breakfast, we set in for a day excursion for Longwa, which is 30 miles from Mon. (2 hours drive). Longwa regarded as one of the biggest villages in Mon the unique feature of Longwa is it shares the international boundary of Myanmar and India (Half of the chief Angh's house falls in the Indian side and the other half falls in Myanmar). The Angh takes his food in India and sleeps in Myanmar s territory. Even though there is a village council to administers the village, the Angh s word is conclusive. We return to our Home for a simple lunch and later in the afternoon, we explore Chui village which is located about 5 miles away from Mon town on the Tuensang Mon road. Chui village still preserves its old charm. One can see the Konyak traditional houses built with palm leaves roofing with protruding out the main pillars. Chui is also famous for ethnic craftsmanship. The skill of the villagers is not confined only on bamboo and woodworks but they are prowess in gun and gunpowder making. B, L, D Home Stay

Day 13 05 Mar Thursday Mon Sivsagar (Assam) Day 14 06 Mar Friday Sivsagar Kaziranga After Breakfast, it is time for us to say good bye to the Konyak family and return to the Brahmaputra valley in Assam. We Drive to Sivsagar (Sibsagar) city is an ancient religious and head of the Ahom Dynasty. On arrival we have local restaurant lunch and have an opportunity to explore the religious edifice of this town and the old monuments. Dinner will be in our Hotel B, L, D Overnight at Hotel Shiva Palace or similar After breakfast, we drive to reach one of the most beautiful National park, Kaziranga, on the banks of the River Brahmaputra. Along with the iconic Greater one-horned rhinoceros, the park is the breeding ground of elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer. Over the time, the tiger population has also increased in Kaziranga, and that's the reason why Kaziranga was declared as Tiger Reserve in 2006. Also, the park is recognized as an Important Bird Area by Bird Life International for the conservation of avifaunal species. Birds like lesser white-fronted goose, ferruginous duck, Baer's pochard duck and lesser adjutant, greater adjutant, black-necked stork, and Asian Open bill stork specially migrate from the Central Asia during the winter season. After having lunch at local restaurant, we arrive at the Hotel and check in. Dinner at Hotel Overnight Borgos Resort. B, L, D Day 15 07 Mar Saturday Kaziranga This morning we set in for an Elephant ride in to the national park. We return to our hotel for breakfast

After breakfast, we have an opportunity to visit the local community and learn about the conservation of wild life. Later in the afternoon we have safari in the National park at the back of the jeep. On return to our Hotel we have dinner. Borgos Resort B, D Day 16 08 Mar Sunday Kaziranga Guwahati This morning after a relaxed Breakfast, we drive to reach the capital city of Assam, Guwahati. Enroute we will stop at the local restaurant for our lunch break. On arrival we check in at the Hotel and later explore the town. We will see the town how it gets prepared for one of the most colorful festivals of India, the Holi. B, L, D Hotel Fortune or similar

Day 17 09 Mar Monday Guwahati Day 18 10 Mar Tuesday Kolkata In the morning after breakfast, get dressed in a way that the colors of the festival turn your outfits into a new rage of colors! https://www.holifestival.org/ We drive to the most happening place today, at Guwahati, the Kamakhya temple which is known for the black magic rituals and tantrism. We spend the day along with the other folks who had join for this colorful festival and return to our hotel later We have a free afternoon and to relax before we join together for our farewell dinner. B, D This Morning free time to relax and later transfer to Airport to connect flight to Kolkata 10 Mar Guwahati 13:10 6E 886( A320 ) 12:25 Kolkata 14:45 We transfer to a nearby Hotel and we have wash and change rooms for day use. Later in the evening you will be connected to your international flight.
