President s Notes Hello and Happy Valentine s Day. I'll start with some good news for Tommy and Linda Persons. Tommy recently retired and is now working on his long list of 'honey do' things! A reminder about Coffee and Cars the first Saturday each month. Otherwise, it's a quite February for events, but Jimmy, Dave and Tommy will keep everyone up to date on coming events. By the way, if you have any events in mind please let Tommy and Linda know they will coordinate LMC events this year. We have a request for some cars at a school next month and we'll have details at the meeting. On a sad note, Ronnie Brown's mother passed in January. The officers will make a donation to Wayland University in honor of her that will go into the funds for our scholarships. Our first LMC event will be the annual birthday party at AIM bank at Slide and south Loop 289, from 10 am-2pm. The date has been changed to April 13th, not the 20th as originally set, due to the Easter weekend. Hopefully the weather will cooperate this year. Some great news in that Pollard paid their 2018 dues and they will stay with us for 2019. Still waiting on Racer on their dues and this year commitment. We received a very nice thank you from Wayland University expressing their appreciation for the scholarships and for our club. Hope that you will join us on February 7th at Red Zone cafe. John

Meeting Minutes for January Meeting was called to order by John at 7 pm with 17 members present. Ronnie continues to temporarily be the treasurer since Kevin was not at the meeting Ed Cooper will be handling the newsletter and emails. Tommy and Linda Persons took over as events coordinators. Larry Rasco, who had quadruple bypass surgery this week was reported doing well and will go home Saturday. We think the Christmas party will be sometime next December. Stay tuned. At the party last month, the club gave $3000 to Wayland Baptist University for their scholarship fund. Ronnie reported that there was $4973.08 in the treasury and dues are being collected as we report. Chuck paid his dues earlier than he has ever paid them. Dennis gave the MCA report. Join if you can. Chuck gave the car show report: trophies, food and judges were addressed. The show will be June 8 th at Wayland Baptist University on North Quaker and North Loop 289. April 20 th was decided on for the yearly Mustang birthday party. (Weather permitting). We will discuss the club s participation in the blue ribbon rally at the next meeting. Coffee and cars is this Saturday at Cook s garage if you are a cold weather person. The 2 nd Friday of every month is the VFW fish fry at 114 th St. and Tahoka highway. Meeting adjourned at 7:58 with great aplomb. Respectfully submitted by the new 1 year term secretary: Gordon Jones
