April 2015 The Lubbock Mustang Club is on Facebook! (please "LIKE" us and you will automatically get all the current info). 1982-2015 33 years and counting! The Lubbock Mustang Club is Proud to be an MCA Regional Club! Car of the Month - April 2015 1967 Fastback Owned by Paul & Deanna McKinney Would you like to see your car here? Then send picture and information about your Mustang to Mike Cochran mrdoc126@yahoo.com or mail the info to LMC, P.O. Box 65399, Lubbock TX 79464

Folks, it's crunch time on dues. We will have to start dropping from the rolls those who have not paid by the end of this month. If you're leaving us, we will miss you and wish you well. If you plan to stay with us, send in your $25 to: Lubbock Mustang Club PO Box 65399 Lubbock, TX 79464 P.O. Box 65399ck, TX 79464 PRESIDENT'S NOTES Hey folks, it s officially spring and feeling like it, for most of the time. We and other clubs will be active this month with shows and various events on every Saturday of this month. Check the website and the great coming events list that our IT staff has available so you ll know what s happening. As for our club, we re adding a display event on April 4 th at Alamo Draft house theatre. They approached me with a request and, pending any last minute changes we will have a display for the new Fast and Furious movie that debuts on Easter weekend. As of the writing of this paragraph it's set for 4pm on the 4 th. As soon as we have specific details Mike will email and update the website and facebook. Each driver will get a free pass that can be used anytime

for any movie at Alamo. It may be too crowded for us as a group to see the movie while we display, but we can determine that before or during the event. Also, we ll need to watch our cars since they will not be providing any security. The next April event is the annual birthday party at AIM bank from 10-2pm at the Slide location. We hope to have a large grill to cook on and AIM will provide most of the food and we ll cover whatever else, including the cake. This is a major sponsor and a fun event, so please make an effort to come. We will also have Celebrate Today doing their fund raiser again which helps patients through the Southwest Cancer center at UMC. I m getting a long in these notes, so Mike will have more details on Blue Ribbon and other events in the month. Hope you can make the events and our meeting Thursday April 2 nd ( no fooling)! John Mike's Thoughts April is more than full of events and the events calendar is filling up quickly. The one on the website will always be the most accurate. Here's the link again - http://www.lubbockmustangclub.com/untitled1.html We start featuring events on the Facebook page a week or so before they occur. April 4th has Coffee & Cars from 8 am to 10 am, The Texas Tech Formula SAE show from 10 am to 3 pm and then the Lubbock Mustang Club has been invited to do a display at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema for the new "Fast & Furious" movie, 4 pm till dark. Bring a car and you get a free pass good for any movie. April 11th is the "Toadbucket Nationals" at South Plains Mall to benefit Lifegift.

April 12th (Sunday) is the Memory Ride & Candlelight Vigil as part of the Family Guidance & Outreach Center's Blue Ribbon Rally events. April 18th is our annual birthday party at Aim Bank. April 25th is the Blue Ribbon Rally. As you know, we do the parking, so come out early to help and get a primo parking spot. Look for a lot more fundraiser show & shines at Freddy's again this year. They are opening another store soon and want to help the community with a lot of events. We will send out an email when we have specific dates and times. Lots of events are coming in May including the cool NAPA Tool Sale events on the 13th & 14th. More on that in the next newsletter. Check out the web site and Facebook for more info on all the above events. Last but not least, folks, please get those dues in so we can wrap up the paper work and get on with another great year of Mustang events and shows. We were able to donate a ton of money to causes in our community last year and hope to do better this year. MARCH MEETING MINUTES Date: 3/5/15 Meeting call to order by President John Robison. Ronnie Brown gave the treasurers report----and it was approved. New members were welcomed into the club. Minutes of last month's meeting were approved.

Adair Murillo from Inside Out Foundation was at the meeting, she talked about what the foundation does. The benefits from the Birthday party will go to the Southwest Cancer Center. The Show & Shine will be sometimes in May or June. It was discussed about buying banners and flags to be placed around Marsh Sharp for the Bucket of Bolts show. John ask for volunteers to be events person---no VOLUNTEERS.
