Stick Day A stick can be part of a den, a wand, a sword or many other things explore the woods and enjoy lots of stick related activities Magical Woodland Kingdom Create your own woodland kingdom for magical creatures. Follow the clues to find the mystical lands and create your own castle for your chosen character. Tuesday 7 th August Wednesday 8th August Bushcraft Learn new skills for the outdoors, build dens in the woods, take on the fire lighting challenge and cook some tasty treats. Art Attack Be inspired by nature and have fun, making and creating, including painting, making musical instruments, clay and natural tie-dyeing. Animal Antics Hunt for small mammals in the woods. Discover what life is like for squirrels, foxes and mice at Mop End. Play games, take part in our squirrel obstacle course and make a mask to take home Thursday 9 th August Friday 10 th August Eco Challenge Build a solar oven, complete our microclimate orienteering trail, attempt the water turbine challenge and make an eco-craft. Bees, Butterflies & Dragonflies Discover the world of bees, butterflies and dragonflies. Explore the grasslands and ponds at Mop End, talk like a bee, hunt like a dragonfly and make a butterfly to take home. Junior Ranger Become a Junior Ranger for the day. Hunt for small mammals in the woods, explore the pond and remove trees to help restore our heathland.
Adventure Week Age 5-7 Age 8-11 Shipwrecked Could you survive on a desert island? Make mini shelters, hunt for food and collect your water before the river dries up. Mini Minecraft Explore the lands of Minecraft, create shelters, make swords and hide from the creepers! Monday 13 th August Tuesday 14 th August Woodland Survival Learn to survive in the Mop End woods collect survival rations, build a shelter (make sure it is waterproof!) and light a fire. Minecraft Adventure Explore The Nether and The End in Mop End Woods. Craft swords, find the stronghold and defeat the Nether Dragon. Dragon Adventure Follow the clues to discover the dragons lair in Mop End woods. Can you rescue the princess and find the dragon s treasure without disturbing the sleeping dragon? Wednesday 15 th August Mythical Beasts Griffins, dragons and unicorns abound as you solve clues, discover creatures and search for the treasure hidden deep in Mop End woods. Superheroes Join the team of superheroes to try and save the world! Undertake superhero training, make a mask and foil the evil villains plan. Watery World It s time to join in the watery fun! Take part in some watery challenges and play watery games. Thursday 16 th August Friday 17 th August Superhero Supernova Join the team of superheroes to try and save the world! Summer Open Day Thursday 2 nd August Drop in anytime 10:00-15:00 A day for all the family to enjoy being outside. Try out our orienteering trails. See what you can find living in the pond and be creative with nature. There is no charge for this day and you don t need to book, just come along. Prices Full day activities run from 09:30-15:00 cost 25.00 unless otherwise stated Half days are available for the 5-7 age group, mornings only (09:30-11:30) at 12.50 Extended hours Morning 08:30-09:30 5.00 per child Afternoon 15:00-17:30 7.50 per child This gives you more flexibility with pick up and drop off times, to aid working and busy parents. Earliest drop off is 08:30 and latest pick up is 17:30. Please indicate your chosen hours on the booking form. Our staff will arrange a variety of un-timetabled, free choice activities and crafts for the children during this time, and the children will be fully supervised. We will provide snacks and drinks for those staying after 15:00. Discounts 10% discount for booking a full week of courses 10% discount for sibling bookings (maximum discount 20%) Children need to bring appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear and a packed lunch for full days.
