The Winter Newsletter November/December 2018 Year-End Issue HONORING our HERITAGE With the 2018 Old Dominion Packard Club s Fall Meet, we now enter our 7th decade honoring the Packard Motor Car Company s products. This tour allowed participants to visit both a pre-revolutionary War inn to a museum containing the Discovery Space Shuttle.

Entering Our 61 st year The Old Dominion P ackard Club was founded in 1958 to preserve and enj oy Packard autom obiles, as well as the interesting and diver se history of the Packard Motor Car Company. The id ea sprang from the mind of Herb Hulvey. Postcards were sent to all known Virginia Packard owners proposing the est ablishment o f a club devoted to the Packard marque, s ince it was clear that Packards would no longer be built. The Old Dominion Pack ard Club is independent and not affiliated with any other organization. The Club holds two functions each year a Spring Tour held duri ng the fourth weekend of April and a Fall Tour duri ng the fourth weekend of October. Cars are j udged every other year during the Fall Tour. Dues for the Old Dominion Packard Club are $20 annually. Those who took part in the Old Dominion Packard Club s Fall Tour enjoyed great drives, interesting destinations, delicious food and drink, and a friendly, picturesque locale. With about 50 members attending, along with folks from the Antique Automobile Club of America, we would be hard pressed to have had a better tour!
