Baltic Dry Indices* Monday, April 26, 21 - Week 17 The Week at a Glance To the rescue It has been a long week especially for Greece as it has confirmed the financial aid from EU and IMF for 3, billion and 15 billion respectively. Let s hope that the intervention of IMF will not have the results witnessed in the past in Argentina, Hungary and Romania, social wise at least. In commodity news, optimism regarding the US economy boosted equity and commodity prices, hence oil prices flirted with the US 85, per barrel figure. Same situation plus positive housing market has altered the expectations on the gas front as well with prices anticipated to firm in the near future. In the growth and macroeconomic news now, IMF warned Japan about her public deficit as it has reached the 2% of its GDP. In UK now, growth is still low as data for Q1 21 has shown an increase of only,2%.
